I'm dying for it too man! Feel your pain!
Uncharted 3 was fine and hardly a step backwards, but since you've run out of bubbles, I don't expect a response :P
OT: Feels like an entire village is behind production of what could turn out to be my #1 game period!
I say let these guys make the game they want to make. If Move isn't in the equation, life goes on! I understand some people want it, and if it's if Naughty Dog sees fit to add it later, we'll hear about it. But as of now, I'd prefer these guys make the game they want to make.
Not to mention, it's already been said that there was a 2nd team at Naughty Dog working on the game.
When Naughty Dog releasing anything less than "good", then people will be more reserved. In the mean time, to me, the excitement is completely understandable, especially given the trailer.
I'm curious, with that many plot holes (according to you), can you give us 3?
OT: Most anticipated game period! Cannot wait!
It's neither open world nor RPG styled. It is a single player-only, story driven, survival horror-based experience with Naughty Dog's extra added expertise in cinematography and storytelling.
I am absolutely stoked for it either way!
Well, since Naughty Dog is a team known to put their money where their mouths are, "other" developers are irrelevant in this topic.
CGI movies look better than this. And if you mistook this trailer's quality for such, it must look pretty damn good. Either way, anyone that's invested any sizable amount of time in the Uncharted series knows Naughty Dog doesn't do CGI and their cutscenes are entirely in-engine (the ones that cut to black that is, all the others are pulled directly from gameplay).
This is being made by a second team within Naughty Dog. Therefore, Uncharted 3 wasn't impacted by this at all.
BUT, this could still be a Quantic game, and the fact that they are working only with Sony this gen invalidates your point. Nobody argued whether Quantic was owned by Sony or not, but people aren't crazy to believe this could be a Quantic game.
If the game was disappointing to you but not others, neither opinion is superior. Understand that.
OT: I thought Uncharted 3 was superior to Uncharted 2 in just about every meaningful way, except that I missed seeing Chloe and Elena in broader roles. Other than that, it's a personal story, one I felt its designers outdid themselves with!
If it's a Sony exclusive, which it is, it will not also be on the PC.
OT: The more buzz this gets, the better I feel about it. Just 2 days left!
This gen, Quantic Dream is sticking exclusively with Sony. It could very much be something from them.
However, given the setting/scenario, I don't think Quantic is behind this.
It's possible, but we'll see. It'll definitely win some, but probably not as many as the three I mentioned.
I think most sites GOTYs will rotate between Skyrim, Uncharted 3, & Zelda - with Skyrim taking home the majority.
I'm not interested in scores, but when it comes to sheer quality content in 2011, nobody brought it like Sony did!
Uncharted 3's body movements are some of the best (if not the best) out there. I've yet to see any game blend animations like Naughty Dog does. Not sure what you mean.
You're right, Uncharted 3 is behind L.A. Noire in facial motion, but L.A. Noire is not using mo-cap, they're using motion scan, which has it's pluses and minuses. For instance, the bodies of the character models in L.A. Noire are much stiffer than Uncharted 3, and while they look more like real people, they aren't as graphically advanced as the Uncharted characters (in animation overall, nor image quality/poly count).
Affirmative.
