Fuvking is my favourite game. I'm so happy they remastered Fuvking

Wait, so you think the game is amazing and platinumed it. So amazing in fact that you're willing to pay £70 or whatever currency to platinum the whole thing again. But still you don't entirely trust the review score? Yeah seems legit

I can't wait to get my PS5. It's getting here on Thursday. I'm a huge PS fan, but let's not be blinkered here. Why in god's name are you even able to download the PS4 version of a game when the PS5 version is there? It doesn't need its own version of "smart delivery", all that is a marketing term for common sense. Sony has been making alternate versions of software available for years. You can't accidentally download the PS4 version of Rogue Legacy on to ...

So how do you explain Odyssey being 46gb? Your point about it being current gen is very strange.

Yes. 200 dollars in 1996 would be approximately 331 today, so you're correct.

How can it be poor optimisation anyway when one console runs slightly better than the other. We going to say that for every game? Either way, it looks good on both, nobody will care. Apart from maybe the people who say, I only care about multiplatform games and Series X will run everything way better than PS5. They might care a little.

These are the words of somebody who has never had to create anything. Just written about other people creating things. If you look at the original Demon's souls, it's clear to see that merely adding detail wouldn't achieve anything. Demon's souls looks the way it does partially because of technical limitations of the time. You can't lift that fog, add 10x the detail, HDR and global illumination and so on, and keep the aesthetic totally intact. I personally love the look of...

There will be thousands of defective Series X and PS5s out there. Typical electronic failure rates dictate that. With PS4, even if failure rates were less than 1% (Which is good), that still means over 1m were defective. It doesnt mean we need a story for each one! Fingers crossed you all get a great experience, no matter which platform you choose.

If my £800 gpu dies, how is that better?

AMD has developed infinity cache which massively improves the bandwidth, so this isn't really an issue

Raytracing or not. Tech should only be there as a means to an end, not utilised "just because". I was convinced the quality of those indirect shadows and GI etc was a result of raytracing. The fact that they've achieved those graphics without raytracing only demonstrates that they've done a fantastic job and made the right choices. It looks incredible

Wow, 40% more than the year when the current console was discontinued and was selling in incredibly low numbers?

This is totally anecdotal, and I know everyone could just say this, but I know 8 people with PS5 pre orders and don't know of anybody or anybody who knows anybody who has pre ordered a series X. And this is in the UK where MS is still competitive. Globally speaking, other than the UK and the US, MS is a total no show

Radeon VII and an RTX 2080 both have the same tflops performance iirc. One destroys the other when it comes to gaming performance and frame rates. Tflops is ONLY a theoretical performance limit. It's a good guide but is essentially meaningless on its own. You'll notice the new Radeon 6900XT GPUs appear to be a great match for the 3080, yet it has far fewer CUs and lower peak tflops. Yet it's GPU runs 700mhz faster. Similar to the approach that PS5 has taken Vs Series X. Don't ...

@foxtrot - Their facial capture tech wasn't being used to its full potential with the old model. They claim the needed to closely match the capture targets face to get the most realism. We can't possibly know how that will eventually look, because we haven't seen it yet. But Insomniac has. And no doubt they were sat in a studio and had a very difficult conversation, whereby they resigned themselves to having to make this change now, in order to reap greater benefits in future. The...

I think it looks worse in the here and now, but when Spider-Man 2 comes out, people will understand why insomniac made the change. They obviously have grand plans for the sequel and I don't think they would've made this decision unless it truly made sense.

Nice to have something to play straight out of the box while Demon's souls downloads. Get to try out all those new dualsense features at the same time. Can't wait.

Gotta beat Sony at something I suppose. Whether that's important to most people or not, is another matter. For me, I couldnt care less
