These game you're referring to were developed for PS4 anyway. It's take it or leave it. Personally I'll take these games AND the next gen only releases when they emerge
People understand the argument. The point for me is that Horizon and GoW will have been developed primarily for PS4 anyway. To make proper use of the PS5, they would've had to scrap it all and start again. That's IF it's so fundamentally different that it can't be developed for both without one holding the other back. It can't be both things. And from where I'm sitting I'd rather have these games now, then the sequels in another 4 years, than nothing now and waitin...
Sony will. As soon as the games which were primarily developed to be released on PS4, for the last 4 years, have been released
If someone had told me that this game was a PS5 exclusive, I would've believed them. Everybody was asking, how the hell is this going to run on PS4?!
Based on what the Devs are saying, on PS4 it will look largely similar to the PS4 version. They will be using the old water tech, the old character lighting, no raytracing features... So yeah, it will look a lot like the first one.
That will mean there will be a night and day difference between the 2
Exactly this and it's what I keep asking people. If it's been in development for 4 years how could it ever have been developed to take advantage of PS5? At least we're getting these games right out of the gate and Horizong looks stunning.
How would that have happened when it's been in development for nearly 4 years and the PS5 specs weren't anywhere close to being finalised back then?
The truth is, we're getting these games so early in the life of the PS5, because they started out development on the PS4. The next entries will all be developed for PS5.
If somebody had asked me, do you want a raft of super high profile sequels, which all look incredible, in the first 18 months of...
She's a writer for Santa Monica
Not exactly like for like in comparing it to dedicated home consoles, seeing as the switch really replaces the 3DS too. People will buy a switch as a hand held for each member of the family etc. People upgrading their 3DS will do so for the switch. Kudos to Nintendo for shifting so many units, but it's not an entirely fair comparison.
Disagreed with most points raised in this review. For me it was a solid 9/10
It's got a name. They're not telling us what it is
Hahaha loads of people did this. I did this. All my friends did this. Little spring placed on the cd closed button to dupe it into thinking the lid was closed, then swap the disc out
@flakygoos. Latest numbers and research suggests it is only 5% in the hands of scalpers
Your comment is pointless. I just said, what's wrong with it getting a low score? And you come in with all your, "this shouldn't need explaining" nonsense
Nobody complains about a 2 star movie review. But if a game gets 2 stars, which is virtually what this is, you'd think it was the end of the world. Biased! Biased! This should be minimum 3 stars even though I haven't played it! Jesus
Sony don't need PS Now to be the core pillar of their business. It's an added offering. They don't need it because their first party releases generate enough money to sustain their business and attract customers. Do you think MS introduced Gamepass because they were selling loads of games? Nope, they were being beaten resoundingly and we're seeing no return on all those sky high development costs. The answer to heir problems? Get millions and millions of people to subscribe to...
I think you may have a point there. If I had to pay full price for Gamepass, there's no chance whatsoever I would continue using it. And the comments section of every single story about Gamepass has loads of people talking about what a great deal it is, because they got 3 years of Gamepass for next to nothing.
I have no problem with the lead being a straight white male. I think the problem is, he came off as really generic and dirivitive. I think the core gameplay loop of the game was good, but they made some really silly structural choices and the game could've used a better director. Pacing was all over the place and the character dialogue bored me to tears. Days gone, is, in my opinion the worst of the First party Sony games and lacked polish in so many areas. During one section, exploring a...
As everyone else has pointed out. The name of the game is a play on the phrase, "Ripped a fart", rendering this whole article stupid and pointless
And great leadership. That kind of culture comes from the top down. Well done Insomniac boss people
