Exactly. I've got so much mileage out of PS+ already this gen. Control ultimate edition, Wreckfest, which I play every night with my mates, Plague Tale looks great and was in my backlog. All are next gen versions, all available on day of release. But yeah, I don't get the next gen update for Greedfall, I'm devasted. Subscription cancelled!!!!
Phil done a number on you hasn't he?
The haptics and audio ARE enough to differentiate the platform. Many reviews for several games have called out the fact that games have very similar performance but if you're going to choose, choose PlayStation. RE Village makes excellent use of Sony's 3D audio tech and numerous outlets stressed that it added enough to the experience to warrant recommending it for PS over Xbox
At least 1/3 - 1/2 of R&C is cutscenes. Obvious troll is obvious
The Samsung 980 has something like 7000mb transfer speeds which should meet the spec of the PS5 when we are finally able to add them. That's currently £127. Fingers crossed it's on the compatible list
Yeah, I mean, if people are getting the benefit of it, that's great. I'm just speaking from my own experience. I paid £30 for it for the year, and honestly, there are lots of good games on it. However, they're not the games I want to play. So I find myself buying big third party releases and Sony exclusives that I genuinely do want to play. Now 6 months has gone by and there's not a single thing I feel like playing. The problem with the narrative that people are peddling ...
The problem MS has is this NOBODY in the world is paying full price for Gamepass. They're losing billions to keep people hooked. When your only option is to pay full price every month, and then you realise, hang on, I still need to buy an actual copy of RE: Village, the next assassin's creed and all the other major releases and you're still paying full price for Gamepass every month, even though you haven't really playing anything you genuinely wanted to for the past 6 months....
22.6m would be the highest ever in a single year
Microsoft is still offering Gamepass at a loss. That is the top and bottom of it.
Dreams took about 8 years to develop and was started again from scratch, something like 3 times. They didn't even know what to do with the tools they'd created for a long long time. Sony stuck with MM through it all and trusted them. I genuinely can't think of another company that would have allowed this to happen.
Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, Hulu, Peacock, Apple TV, Don't know if you've heard of these services, but they have shows and movies exclusive to their platform.
Yeah, but to be fair, God of War is more of a known quantity. The trailer for Senua was noted as being "In engine" and everyone lost their minds, thinking that was how the game would look. If they showed a CGI trailer of GoW, people would be excited, yes, but they'd also be a bit pissed that they got yet another CGI trailer
@rebel_scum. As are Havok and Simplygon. As in nearly all games ever since the dawn of time hahaha
Microsoft's policy for reporting sales figures nowadays
I've tried all 3 modes and for the first time since having the PS5, I've gone for fidelity. The post processing and image quality is just sublime, to the point there it feels like the whole game is a playable cinematic. I dont mind the 30fps when it looks like this and plays so brilliantly.
I'll wait for it to come to PC in 50 years time and still pay £40 for it because ALL Sony exclusives are coming to PC, so why bother buying a PS5, or something
Less than 5% according to latest figures
Gamepass. Best deal in the history of gaming and practically being given away. Series S costing £200 less than PS5 (In stock at Amazon UK for days now). PlayStation games costing £70 each. Oh the outcry!... End result? PS5 outselling Xbox, virtually 2:1... I'm beginning to suspect that if MS gave the console away for free and gamepass was free, they'd still be losing.
Less than 5% in the hands of scalpers according to latest market research
It may do well, but will still be relatively niche and won't trouble Sony MS or Nintendo
