I really don't know who I should believe. You or about 30 respected technology sites...I mean you have got a picture of a dog as your avatar so I guess I should go with what you say right?
I have to disagree with your comment about 10 years not being a long time in the gaming world. I mean The NES, SNES and N64 were all released within 11 years.. Thats 3 generations of games consoles. We're only currently on the 5th generation.
I'm fine with it as long as Sony take what I believe to be the sensible route and scale their existing hardware. IBM are already using more sophisticated Cell processors in their servers. They recently discontinued manufacturing Cell processors with 32 SPUs (PS3 has 8) In a couple of years time Sony should easily be able to throw 2-3 Cell cpus (each with 32+ SPUs) in there, get some speedy RAM in there and a new GPU, job done, and we wouldnt need to worry about backwards compatibility.
alright guys simmer down, i was only messin.. c'mon, we've all had a drink.
child of meh
I think he was joking
The conduit was dreadful, early play tests of Counduit 2 are far from promising. I fail to see how you are in a position to quantify how Move compares to Wii with regards to FPS. When you say, move is half as good as Wii, what is your scale of reference? Is wii 100goodness but Move only 50goodness?
Hey, I didn't know I was your co worker!
To be fair, he didn't say, "I'm in a console war"
wow!!, posting here for three years you say? Well it just so happens that i have in my hands a "posting on n4g for 3 years" scouts badge. It's all yours champ.
It's a forum for people to give their opinions regardless of topic. It's a very simple concept. If you are having difficulty with this then perhaps this isn't the place for you.
I remember the original trailer. He held up his skateboard and somehow the xbox magically photoshopped his hand from the underside of the board before putting his board in the game. I'm still astonished people bought this. c'mon people we're supposed to be the super cynical ones. There are still people harping on about how awesome it will be when every NPC is like Milo and we can have a nice long chat. WAKE UP!
I think you mean nothing can combat the amount of money spent on halo reach marketing. From my point of view, I've never liked Halo, so most things easily combat it.
That's why I jumped on board after 3 years with the wii. The PS3 has been the best single piece of hardware I've ever owned. This is a day one purchase without hesitation.
I got motion + day one and I really did enjoy resort but it kept losing calibration mid way through events. We were endlessly placing the remotes on the fireplace to re calibrate. I know this isn't the case for everyone, but to hear him moaning about move with the problems I had with motion + annoyed me somewhat.
You have to calibrate motion plus on the wii before each event and you also have to select if youre left or right handed. He's talking nonsense.
It is clearly designed to be used in that way, it's just that no one ever told us. This has solved a bit of a problem for me. So simple but brilliant design.
Terrible. Firstly it was clearly set to "very easy while you try and prove something isnt cumbersome" mode. Secondly, there was very little shooting, and the shooting that was there was unresponsive and looked very tricky. So to summarise...meh
Also, there are 25 million live accounts. That is surely some indication of install base
I think they're taken in the photo mode of the game. Anti aliasing is increased and post processing is added such as motion blur and depth of field.
