A good portion of the blu-ray discs have uncompressed sound so it fits his action movies.
1) UMD is proprietory for the PSP NOTHING ELSE
2) UMD was a cheap alternative to media cards and it also shows it can store movies but in the end its still for PSP gaming for now and for the future
3)UMD is not made by anyone other electronic company , hence not marketed for Mass usage like blu-ray

If you have expereinced hd media at its full potential i.e. blu-ray or hd-dvd it is extremely difficult to turn back.
Ive seen divx-hd videos and it still does not come close to blu-ray/hd-dvd quality. But more importantly its missing the sound of hdmedia.
My local video store that first started with a huge selection of vhs's, then they converted to dvd's, and now they have 3 HUGE shelves of HD media.
I tend to look at this store as the benchmark for the home video industry.
It put a smile to my face today when I saw ppl moving the hd media into larger shelves. But more importantly the signs of things to come. (2 FULL large shelves of blu-ray vs almost a full shelf of hd-dvd's)
The more MS does not care about their xbox line.
All they care is that they see the ps3 as a threat towards their operating system market (which is their key strength). The ps3 is moving closer to the pc market as an all in one entertainment unit. They will do anything in their power to sway the general public away from sony.

Gears 2 has to improve the AI and include more weapons that are useful.

3) I've heard they dont supply retailers with GR8 quantities per shipment vs MS and Sony, hence creating a low supply, and in result greater demand for a wanted item
