4 those ppl who complain about backwards compatiblity ..... you are just sad. It is a gimmick. I own the 60gb and Ive only plopped in god of war to see if it works. Other than that I have not used the ps2 functionality. Do you know what else is a gimmick, that smart media slot. If the 20gb have been swamped in the market, I would have not bought the 60gb. It kindov reminds me of american car fanboys, very one sided thinking the american cars are much better cuz they have more HP, but the bash the beemer or mercedes because they believe it is overated. Try and put a beemer on the track it will excel much better than american muscle.

But let me go over the things that made ME as a consumer to buy blu-ray
1) More electronic companies backing up blu-ray, meaning I will have a larger variety of electronics to purhcase from (freedom of choise)
2) 1080 p, always 1080p
3) Lossless sound found on MORE discs than hd-dvd
4) more studio support from studios that grossed more $$$ in dvd sales and mov...
some hd's simply go away because it costs too much to continue to manufacture the old version of the hd.
Plus the option to change hard drives to allow EXISTING users to upgrade on their own. You dont expect a current ps3 owner to go out to buy a new ps3 when it has a bigger hd.
Plus this can be speculation, it can be more than just a hd upgrade.
