When the ps3 came out my friend who is an xbot troll will continoulsy bash Sony because he Believed that sony was making bad business decisions. Now he is very very silent.
But more importantly he assumption was that since MS had alot of money they will win automatically..... .
I couldt care less if they bring the hard drive down to 10-20gbs. As long as it has blu-ray and wifi.
If they just stop supplying hd-dvd. And the remaining hd-dvd's placed in the bargain bin the same bargain bins as dvd's
betamax was still used for a long time in the industry because it had many supurior properties over vhs.
hd-dvd is inferior to blu-ray just because of the capacity and the scratch resistance surface. HD-dvd will just fade away like the laser disc.
I bought this game on PC based on the hype for only a mere 30 dollars.... and I felt kindov cheated.
The game is overated. It was OK.... but It just felt like it was trying to be a deus ex. Sorry deusex so far is still king in the fps with rgp elements.
The graphics are quite exceptional though. The game was still good enough to finish (finished the game in a week, and playing at moderate pace)
Enjoy them as they come....

Just by simple obervation through retail outlets, It seems that hd media is expanding at a quicker rate.
But there is no doubt that it takes TIME for any format to expand into a market.

Most ppl have the 20gb hd so downloadable content is not feasible.
Xbox 360 is stagnent at a technological standpoint.

As an early adopter.... I can say that equipment is expensive and media is expensive. Meaning As a consume I like many others have already chosen the format. If the market remains split up...... then I will have no choice to purchase BOTH formats if I wanted to watch all the hd media. Sorry the world is turning blu and I we will have more movies to watch in hd than ever than befo...

Why .... It can decode dts master hd...... plus I could care less about profile 1.1 or special features.
But more importantly it looks very sexy in the living room when buying a stand alone player.

The ps3 I can't really hear it at all when playing a movie.... but when playing a game I do hear it k...
But I will only download if it is free or you can buy it on physical disc to install.

Dont get rid of your collection, just buy two extra hd-dvd units, and it will last you the whole hd-dvd life cycle.

xbox fans your precious halo 3 has such a bland color palate for a top tier title. Not only did the resolution hurt, but the colors just felt bland.
But quite honestly most of the multiplatform games do look more vibrant on the xbox 360.
I dont own a xbox but I do own a ps3, and I have plugged up a friends xbox to my projector vs the ps3 at optimal settings on the same projector.
I.e.
Games like stranglehold ( game sucks btw), Dirt, and r6v look more vibrant color wise. Even unreal tournament 3 does not look as vibrant as the pc version.
