The only stability issue I have is when it gets close to no charge power. Sometimes it discconects.
believed that the ps3 is doing bad..
fact is it is doing just as well as the ps2 in the first year.
But more importantly it is doing the same if not better than the xbox 360 in the first year.
The only difference now is that the xbox 360 did better than the original xbox.

Ask any pc gamer, and they will say xbox games and ps3 games still dont look ast crisp as it could be.
Will have to upgrade to get the extra capacity used LOL.
And yes it has been stated that current players WILL NOT support the triple layer of 51 gb's .
It's too late to make 51 gb mainstream..... If they start introducing movies with the 51gb's They will have to START all over selling compatible players.

1) hd-dvd only has toshiba players NOTHING else really. Even myself and like many others, I like to have the choice of choosing brands.
2) Bigger titles that grossed more $$$ in dvd and theatre sales come from the blu selection of movies.
3)hd-dvd is not popular world wide, and even hd-dvd in North America is is doing worse than blu
4) On average hd-dvd discs cost 3-5$'s more than blu. I'm sorry but it was hard enough to...

Now im not bashing the pc cuz it has ALOT of shooters, but it also has its RTS's and MMORPG's

New releases on hd-dvd Cost at least 29-34$. Ive even seen new releases go for 36$.
For blu-ray its 25-32$ on new releases.

sorry but a 1080 p hd-dvd player is price similar to a blu-ray player.
This is the same mentality as a hardcore american who loves their cars. Thinking that the american car is best value, but everywhere around the world they prefer japanese and german cars.
If blu-ray is going to DIE, which i dont think it will, hd-dvd will die first.
The only place hd-dvd is SElling is in North America.... and still blu-ray is doing better.

But developers seem to be learning quite rapidly.
But Korea is home for PC gaming, they are also known for one of the best Internet infrastructures.
hd-dvd group is acutally selling better in stand alone players..... but they ALWAYS seem to push aside the fact that ps3 is a viable blu--ray player.
In the end it comes down to media sales.
Around the world blu-ray is dominating except for the BIG market of usa.... but as months pass we can see blu-ray increasing 1 percent at a time.
I dont hear negative things about it vs spiderman (I actually enjoyed SM3).
But through observation there was more store traffic than spider man launch week. I would say the rat caused stores to be just as crowded ans transformers week.
So many ppl buying the dvd version though.

Ratatouille Sound is quite insane on uncompressed. I have never heard a cartoon with soo much CLEAN sound with nice impact on the subwoofer.

Tested the ps3 on both screens.
When you have 720p and 1080i checked off in the os
Warhawk and Cod4 force it to 720p.
Rainbow 6 outputs it at 1080i BUT it looks sooo blurry
When you have uncheck 720 p in the ps3 OS
It Forces cod4 and warhawk to output 1080i on the tv
Warhawk suffers the same rainbow 6 at this resolution
Cod 4 It litterly looks 720pish and it looks E...
I bought the cod 4 game thinking it will be 1080i/p but when I forced the system to do 1080i , the game still felt and LOOKED 720pish.
If you look at my previous posts I am a ps3 fan, but too many ps3 fanboys here really think the game is True 1080i/p
So far I've only seen one ps3 that can do and at the same time look 1080 and that is ridge racer.
warhawk and rainbow 6 vegas on the ps3 look actually MORE blurry when you force it to 1080 resolutio...
1) ps3 games are on blu-ray discs so there is really no need to install much data on the HD
2) if you dont care about backwards compatiblity then it dont matter which ps3 you get.
3) in the end of the day it will still play ps3 games and blu-ray movies like its meant to be played on a ps3
