The game RUNS ULTRA smooth on my ps3..... but bare in mind everyone it really does not seem like 1080i/p
It feels like it is upconverted a bit from 720 p. I have to agree with gamespot on this one. I tested it on a small 27 inch lcd and a 100 inch projector... it does not seem crisp as lets say ridge racer 7 or pc games running at 1280 x 1024.
I was playing graw 2 before COD4 and it was not bad frames, but now switching back and forth from the two games.. graw...
Then why was it difficult to push sales when the player was 200 dollars
Its gonna be dam hard to convince these ppl to purchase movies at 30 bucks a pop.
Btw ppl already think the 100 dollar players are the norm.... it was really a fire sale to get rid of the old

something I doubt my x1950xtx's (crossfired) can handel.
I was proven wrong it really did not feel like true 1080i resolution It felt upconverted.

The game in 1080i does not seem like 1080i at all. It does not have a crisp feel found on typical high res pc games.
It actually does look 720pish. I was a little disspointed, but after playing 1 hour of the game I did not mind. But in the end I was still expecting something CRISP, but one thing for sure the game runs smoooooth like buttah.

that these dont look that good on 1080 p tv's i.e. thrash more often than expected.. But on standard 1080i tv's they look good.
We dont even know how man a2's are out there. I think it was more of a marketing ploy to state that hd-dvd has cheaper priced playrs.
Just that ps3 is showing signs of demand, and they are not making that MUCH of a loss (just look at other blu-ray players just a tad more expensive)
the only difference is sony can gain from selling games and movies from their studio

im gonna get it on the ps3 or the pc (still have not decided) but from the sounds simlar to the old call of duty's ,very fun but not perfect material .
All know the graphics on the ps3 are better than the box , but the real question is how much is it worse than the pc version.

Its funny how MANY ppl kept saying blu-ray discs are more expensive to produce,,, which maybe tru b4, but why do I see so many movies cost cheaper on BD. Even Warner discs are cheaper on BD.
If price is a factor in pushing the ppl to buy hd-dvd the price of media should also fall. Its going to be real hard to push ppl to buy discs at 30 bucks a pop when it was difficult to sell the player at 200 dollars. The 100 dollar sale is only a 1 day say to liquidate the a2.

more like a little insight that the xbox community does not really support hd-media, too concerned about price hence they cry that blu-ray is too expensive
its the xbox community that keep crying about how ps3 is too expensive how can you expect them to support expenisve discs that cost 3 times the cost of dvd's
Im not saying all xbox fan's have this view but a good portion bash the blu because its on the ps3 and its TOO expensive.
He is a Sony fan, but he is not a total fanboy like some others wink wink. His arguments at least give the ps3 games the benefit of the doubt.
If gamers dont watch movies then I guess movie watchers dig the ps3.... meaning it is a viable blu-ray player.
Sorry the fact is its a multimedia device that hits multiple target markets.
Ps3 is actually a decent BD player so movie watchers actually buy it

Platform style (ratchet and heavenly sword)
FPS (resistance, r6v, graw 2)
Multiplayer (warhawk)
rpg (oblivion, maybe folklore)
IMO Nintendo is losing it a bit, the only game that still interests me is Zelda.... mario has gone down the tubes imo.

There is litterly no different, the only thing i notice is that the gun itself is a minor difference in the fatness of the gun.
But more importantly compare it to a game that does have 1080i/p capability, You will see that these games are miles ahead in crispness.
It kindov reminds me of warhawk and rainbow six vegas, when you force it to 1080i it actually makes the image quality noticly blurrier.
