Im glad that they left SOME prerender movies in the pc version of gears, cuz it demonstrates how much better the pc version is over the xbox version. The pre animited gears videos look much worse than the actual in game graphics of PC. Having said that the pre-rendered video's of gears are about the same as the in game graphics of gears on x360.

I just demo'd Underworld to a few friends and they did not believe it till I switched back and forth between pcm to dolby digital. In the end they felt convinced that there was a big difference.

Blu-ray discs tend to have loseless sound .... hd-dvd does not, most of the discs are still stuck in the past with standard Dolby Digital and DTS
edit: Hate to break it to you ITR but most hd-dvd's do not have losless sound. about 25% do have losless sound

As for the ps3 itself its not Sony's fault, their hardware is just fine, it is the studio's fault, for not programming it properly and providing proper qa screening.
