I never got lured into the game, because I tend to enjoy shooter platforms like gradius, contra, ikaruga...... get the picture 2d platforms games.
The only 3rd person platform games I like are those that use melee attacks.

Give the ps3 a chance.
I know that the ps3 is more advanced because it has blu-ray and it does not overheat like the box.
As for horsepower, the ps3 basically has same video card power as the xbox (7900 nvidia vs x1900 ati).

Let me take real examples
1) motorstorm is the first racing game ive seen that makes the race track really feel like a 3d environment, plus its the one only racing game t hat uses physics like MAD..... maybe too much
2) heavenly sword cutscenes are REAL time except for a few. I was skeptical at first till I saw the thrashing of shadows. This is why some of the cutscenes are choppy
3)blu-ray need I say more
4) 40 player resistance ...
Still counting grass again..... or which one has more polygons on a screen.

Im not going to bash forza, or pgr.... but from the video's ive seen from gt it looks more refined and realistic looking than what forza or pgr have to offer.
This is why it is going to be succesful.

The thing that would be less confusing is that many of the components on the xbox are proprietory.... but that comes at a cost.
those console fanboys can bring up that price argument all over again.
But bare in mind this engine is not the most stellar nemore, meaning it can run on MANY pc rigs.
PC gaming has always played beyond any console and will always be that way.
Even my low end denon reciever is more expensive than a high end sony reciever.

Times have changed and conoles are becoming more and more media centric play games, watch movies, stream video, play music. So guess what it does have a say in the console market. Just look at the xbox doing very similar features as the ps3.
- many ppl buy the ps3 for blu-ray playback.... sorry but its true, you will not do well in business if you discount the ps3 as a blu-ray player
- standalone players are pretty dam close in sales
- sales of MEDIA r simply better on blu side..... and Its just getting better and better as months past by. The only place that hd-dvd has a chance is in North America... and quite honestly there is less improvement on their front vs blu-ray side
- There are many more exclusives...
but god father on ps3, is it worth it???
