@XboxOneX
Going by the number of disagrees, there's a lot of people that want Sony to go bankrupt.
Either that or a lot of Sony fans didn't think before they clicked 'Disagree'. Clicking 'dsagree' suggests you want Sony to not reach 21 years with the PS brand.
Sony fans, if you don't like the sentiment of XboxOneX's comment you should click 'agree' or do nothing. ;)
It's certainly true to say that there is scientific evidence that playing violent games gives people a way to vent frustrations, stress and anger from their daily lives, therefore reducing their likelihood to commit violent acts. The complete opposite of what these groups say.
Of course, it's a lot easier to blame media and ignore facts rather than bad parenting etc. Also, it's always good to have dramatic news reports and debates on TV. It's always people tha...
The thing is, if a game allows you to do anything you want then of course you can do things that are morally questionable, that comes with the territory. After all, there is consequence in GTA, if you break the law then you will be hunted by the police. These groups and petitions never talk about.
I hate the way that the media and those with an agenda focus on something that was never designed as a feature of the game. If they should take issue with anyone it should be the pe...
Do the people complaining not feel responsible enough to not buy the game for their under age children? Do they feel the need to make a third party responsible for their inefficiencies as parents?
Why do people think that all games are aimed at children? It's insulting. There are age restrictions on all kinds of media for a reason, perhaps they should observe them rather than trying to ban them.
If this kind of thing is right then all age restricted produ...
Wow, so a positive article about Xbox, which doesn't even mention another platform it competes with, is suddenly trolling.
Let me guess, if the title was "7 PlayStation 4 Games to Get Excited in 2015" you'd be saying 'Yeah! Go Sony! You can do no wrong! Oil me up and have your way with me'. Okay, the last part of that was just for the sake of hilarity.
I'm sure you won't be elaborating on your reasoning, since you only have o...
I guess it's because for a lot of people anything like this has to come down to console wars, rather than just taking it for what it is - a list of good games coming to a system. This article could equally be done for PS4 fans and I'm sure the site probably will.
I have exactly the same hardware as you and I couldn't agree more. I've tried to talk myself into buying a Vita several times but nothing appeals to me on the system.
I really hope not.
@zeuanimals
You'd think right? Of late that's been biting us on the ass.
So far this gen I'm having to take a 'wait and see' approach with everything on every platform. Also, when you consider that most of the games people are excited about in Q1 2015 are new IPs then they are still an unknown quantity and nothing can be guaranteed. You just need to look at games like Watchdogs and Drive Club to realise that.
@TFJWM
I really hope Sony aren't sleeving stuff, I want some games for my PS4!
I haven't read the article but at this stage greatness does still await. The examples people are using here, to justify saying it has arrived, are of games that still aren't out. On that basis the headline is correct. I'm sure that greatness is on it's way but, even if it is literally around the corner, we aren't there yet.
Abash said above ...
I was surprised at how well LBP3 has been received. I'm going to have to pick it up.
Yes, Most Wanted was Burnout with licensed cars.
It was also very good. :)
I had a play on the beta and found it a bit generic. Maybe I didn't give it a real chance. Did anyone else like it?
On re-reading the article I'm no longer sure. I thought it was Japan numbers because it began with "TOKYO:".
Maybe I should make my own site. ;)
The primary rule would be that only noteworthy news and opinion pieces would be posted.
If it isn't interesting, informative or entertaining then it isn't on there.
No, but since playing western games is such a niche market in Japan I would imagine that it makes sense for anyone in to it to own an Xbox. That theory would certainly explain those statistics. We all know that the install base is tiny. After all, the main reason that Xbox doesn't do well in Japan is that people see it as a console for Western games, which the vast majority simply aren't interested in.
I would certainly accept a different theory, if it made more sens...
I know what you mean. My backlog frustrates the hell out of me.
@yarbie1000
Yeah, I was looking forward to that.
Not much of a surprise. If you like western games in Japan then you're likely to own either of those systems.
It's the difference between going to an Aquarium to look at fish behind glass and actually putting on scuba gear and diving to an actual coral reef.
Very different.
