If they announced that they intend to no longer support it they'll be left with a heap of stock with no value.
It's far better, from a business perspective, to slow production, sell as much of your stock as possible before announcing that you will no longer support the device.
Of course, from the perspective of the consumer this is underhand; then again that's what PR departments are for. If played right they'll come out of it with their reput...
I don't own a Vita but I was seriously going to get a white and blue one from Japan. They're really cheap at the moment.
Unfortunately, this is as good as admitting that they no longer support the device. If they don't feel that it is worth their time and money to update the apps to Google's new API then they must be preparing to allow it to slowly die. YouTube is an important app on most devices and to no longer support it is telling.
Still...
@Ares84HU
I sometimes buy the same game on multiple platforms, for the same reasons as mentioned.
I bought Destiny for PS4 and X1, because I have friends that play on both. By your reasoning there must be something wrong with me.
Games are a very social thing for a lot of people. To get the most out of them, and to play with my friends, I sometimes choose to buy both. On that basis it makes complete sense. I know quite a few people that do th...
@stiggs
Correct, RGB Full Range does create crushed blacks.
If limited seems washed out it's because the display isn't calibrated correctly; virtually all displays are badly calibrated out of the box. This is because they're calibrated to look brighter and more colourful next to other displays in a show room, not in your living room.
Next they'll be charging every time you re-load your gun, in CoD.
The more they give the more entitled people become. Sad really.
I have a PS4 too and it is in need of more love than it is getting at the moment. This video does look amazing; I sincerely hope it plays just as well as it looks because I really want to get a few more games on it.
Don't worry about the disagrees. It's hard for people to understand that, when you own more than one system, you tend to focus on the games and not the console that they're on. Trying to argue a 'winner' becomes mundane and you have to remember...
Playable builds of Project Cars have been readily available for a very, very long time.
I think you're right. While I do think that this is a really cool concept, I can't imagine it being a key part of my gaming agenda. It's the kind of thing that I would like to experience but can't see myself wanting much more than that.
Oculus is still the best bet at the moment. Something that any game can be adapted to work with; not just specific software that needs to be made for the device. I'm sure that Morpheus will be a great product too but I fee...
@shloobmm3
I loved Republic Commando! I completely forgot about that.
Fair enough. I shall consider myself educated.
It's a vast improvement over the DS3 but I really wish I could turn the light bar off; I'm sure that the battery life would be much better without it.
Not a bad price for Sunset, it's cheaper than Amazon.
I still need to get through Alien:Isolation (PS4), The Evil Within (PS4), GTA5 (X1), MCC (X1) and Bayonetta 2 (Wii U).
Dammit! I can't justify it, certainly not to the other half when she questions my spending. Still, I am making headway with GTA 5 and The Evil Within this week, at last.
It's not over, until it's over.
It could still turn out to be a great game. The positive/negative articles about this game seem to be a pretty even split.
I actually wish both sides would stop and the game can just be released, reviewed and played by gamers. Then we will have an answer.
The people saying it will be a massive disappointment need to wait for release as do those assuming it will be the second coming. Neither argument is ...
I couldn't agree more.
@Mechanism
OR
The game really isn't that good.
I'm not saying either way, because it isn't out yet, but your long rant pointing fingers at everyone can be answered with a single line. Also, what if it really does turn out to be an awful game? If that were to be the case who would "the worst set of fans to ever grace a games console" be then?
I'm a fan of PS4 but I am also a fan of X1 and Wii U. Your...
I seriously hope that it will be a good game as my PS4 needs some love, but, judging by the comments, there's a lot of people here that will be extremely disappointed if it isn't a stellar title. New IPs are an unknown quantity and to be pinning such high hopes on one could be considered foolish.
So, review scores are directly linked to platform now?
If the last game for PS4 got X then the next one should get Y?
Wow! Just, wow.
If IGN did give it a score of 8.2 and did use the word "great" then I fail to see the point of the article. If there were a law that says advertising/quotes need to be based on an average score then I would be in agreement but........there isn't.
@BakPAin
I agree. I've had it since the beginning and I can't remember a time when it was down this often.
PSN was always worse but I never used to feel it appropriate to moan about a free service. Now that I pay for it I get as annoyed as when LIVE is down.
No service will be up all of the time but as long as you can rely on it to be stable around 90% of the time I'd say that's acceptable. At the moment, neither are.
