I'm sure it can't be everyone. Let's not deal in all or nothing scenarios.
Personally, none of my close friends that I have gamed with for years owns a PS4. That's about ten people and I game with at least one of them every day on Xbox. I have a few friends on PS4 but they're never online or just watching Netflix.
That's my personal scenario and it's different for everyone, if my friends were on PS4 I would be playing with them on...
And be because the PS3 with significantly more expensive and they screwed themselves at E3. Oh, how the tables turn.
It certainly is, sitting under my TV. ;)
Is this being re-leased in the UK? I really hope so!
Outlast for £6.39? Bought and added to download queue.
Correct and Tesco are feeling the pinch now.
Judging by the disagrees, resolution is better than friends.
""And on top of this, another Big Playstation4 exclusive announcement seems to be right around the corner." What does one have to do with the other? "
Lines like that are slipped in, to tenuously link to both consoles in news feeds. If the opposing camps see the article's headline then they can wade in and all hell brakes loose. Meanwhile the writer can sit back and watch the clicks rack up, along with their paycheck.
@abzdiine
"If someone owns both consoles nobody will buy a 3rd party game on x1"
I do. So that I can play with my friends on Xbox. The social element is more important to me than resolution.
You'd think but judging by the neutral comment I made earlier about this getting a load of disagrees I guess we're both wrong.
Buying a game on PS4 because of it's higher resolution would be quite pointless for me. Because while I sit, basking in the glory of the extra pixels, all of my close friends are playing on Xbox. Yes, it's a compromise but it really isn't that big of a deal. I said earlier that if a multiplat is single player and slightly superior...
So many people on here say that opinion is subjective, which is correct, but this statement always seems to precede the hurling of abuse at those that don't share their opinion.
A little hypocritical.
Most of the time it feels like I'm in a really big school playground with everyone shouting about how their dad is better than someone else's. That's a pointless argument.
My dad IS better than your dad but that's because he&...
@rxl209
I don't understand your point or why you need to reference Xbox.
Also, the reason people called them 'Arcade' was because of the 'Xbox LIVE Arcade' brand. Which preceeded Sony's offerings by quite some time. Microsoft started the push for smaller devs to produce games for the LIVE service on the OG Xbox in 2004 and they marketed the games as 'Arcade'.
Before then these devs had been known as Indies or B...
@pompous
I own both consoles and tend to get multiplats on Xbox One. Why? I like the controller a lot more and most of my friends are on LIVE. If I buy a single player multiplat I get it on PS4.
The reason I don't like the PS4 controller as much is because it isn't ergonomically correct. The underside of the controller curves too sharply where your middle fingers rest and so you are aware of them being in a slightly awkward position. Also, if like me...
@SuperBlur
I would care if MS left the industry in exactly the same way that I would if Sony did. We would have less choice and higher prices. No thanks. The only reason Sony is 'for the gamers' is due to this competition. If there had been no competition from the 360 then the PS4 would probably have the same kind of architecture as the PS3, there wouldn't be free games with Plus and there probably wouldn't be the kind of indie support that we see. All of thes...
I pre-ordered from Amazon. They originally listed the standard edition as coming with the first game and later I received an email that they're upgrading my order to the Limited Edition for no extra charge, as an apology. I'm very happy with that!!
It struggles with it's identity.
It's a jack of all trades and master of none.
That doesn't stop me from enjoying it though.
@Death
I don't know why you're getting so many disagrees. That's exactly what the plan was.
People didn't like the fact that they couldn't then trade their games and so MS dropped it.
For me, at least, it would have been much more convenient to be able to find a disc copy of a game at a competitive price from a retailer and then install it on the Xbox and play without the need for the constant disc swapping. As far as le...
@PudgeyBurrito
"Now all it needs is to sell 5 million units."
I don't see how that makes gaming experiences better.
I feel that there is far too much coverage of games at the moment. Websites continually speculate on what a game will be like and this is then talked about day in, day out in forums, comment sections and opinion pieces all over the internet. The excitement builds to extraordinary heights until expectations become totally unrealistic and everyone is left thinking the game isn't what they expected.
Sure the game has it's faults but I really like it. Then again, I didn...
Interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing more reviews.
