I'm not saying that it's not Nintendo's fault if the system tanks. I'm saying that third-parties shouldn't be complaining and abandoning the system when they aren't pushing to release quality titles on them.
If you released a half-baked, gimped version of the game ~ you should expect low sales.
2.5D or not - This game is leaps and bounds over your average 2.5D game. It even surpasses SSB4 in terms of overall visual quality. This isn't The Cave or even Rayman Legends (which looks quite beautiful, regardless), we're talking about.

And how on earth is Trine 2 NOT demanding? Even NFS:MW U is a little bit on the more complex side in terms of visuals - they managed to get the PC textures running on the Wii U in just a matter of months - and that was a port.

I think Pikmin 3 has proved that the Wii U doesn't need to be revised, at least not in the way people want it. It doesn't need to ditch the Gamepad. It doesn't need a name-change and it doesn't need to be cut and replaced by a more powerful system. No, it doesn't need any of that.
All it needs - and this has always been the case - is games. Pikmin 3 is the start of a tsunami.

$25 for a stand seems a bit pricey...Even if it wasn't included prior, that still seems to be a bit much for a little piece of plastic. Oh well, the system seems pretty small, regardless, so skipping the vertical set-up shouldn't be too much of a space-taker.

I was looking forward to getting it for Wii U this year - to bad it was pushed back. Either way, it looks amazing.
People are waiting for games to become pure photo-realistic ~ but I think we've already achieved that level. With games like: The Division, Project Cars, Battlefield 4, AC4, Need for Speed Most Wanted (2012), Crysis 3, and a few others - there's not much room for improvement. 4K I guess, but what more?

They got greedy - that's what happened. They got greedy, and basically wanted control over half the system. Nintendo asked for their HELP, not for their hand in marriage. So they said "no" - and now EA is acting like a spoiled brat.
