Wait...Wait...Wait...
What happened to "Wii U has no games"?
It doesn't have a very large user-base at the moment.
Look at it this way:
PS3's lifetime sales: 77,313,472
X360's lifetime sales: 77,311,669
TOTAL: 154,625,141 units
Wii U's lifetime sales: 3.45 million.
...You see the difference? 154 million vs. 3.4 million. That's more than likely why R* didn't opt to do a Wii U version, but apparently they did test it out: 4643d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment
The system doesn't have a lot of owners at the moment - and it hasn't been selling well, and won't be selling well, until the end of this year when the heavy hitters come out, so of course they wouldn't get a lot of signatures.
Not to mention the fact I haven't even heard of this petition for the Wii U version until I saw this article. Would have been nice if they tried to get the word out, at least.
Woah, woah, woah...Someone here on N4G who actually uses logic?
I thought it was a myth....
Although I do agree with your statement about GAF being highly accurate with their intel ~ it seems like N4G just went into overdrive Sony butt-kissing mode, and now - if it isn't good news about the PS4 (or anything PS related) - 95% of will either ignore it, or if it's bad news about something Nintendo or Microsoft related, they'll pounce and start firing the trolling rifles.
No, they shouldn't. They don't have too. Just because it's the weakest doesn't make it a failure:
SEGA Master System < NES
Neo Geo < SNES
N64 < PS1
XBOX < PS2
PS3 < Wii
You can even look at 3DS vs. Vita and call it day...
Just because Wii U is off too a slow start doesn't doom it. By that logic ~ Sony should scrap the Vita and they also should have scrapped the PS3. Nintendo ...
I don't understand why people are losing their heads over this so much:
- Wii U has a smallest install base out of all the platforms this game was released on.
- It has missing features (the high-res textures pack, for instance?)
- The franchise was never seen on a Nintendo platform prior.
...With those three cons against it, did anyone expect it to have a huge amount of sales? I know Rayman did really well on the Wii U a...
EA is like a dirty-prostitute - willing to do whatever you want if you have the bucks too pay for it.
When they can't leech from MS anymore, I wonder who they'll try to swoon next...
You really think Nintendo isn't doing a good job with the online-world? I beg to differ. Nintendo Network has been gaining lots of momentum on both the 3DS & Wii U.
I've played online on a few of my Wii U titles and I must say it's a LOT better than playing online with the original Wii.
With Pokemon X & Y on the horizon - you better believe Nintendo is going to have money coming out of it's ears in a little while.
They came during the off-season. What do you expect? Nothing before Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 sold well on 3DS, because 3DS didn't have it's own system-sellers yet.
Software sells hardware.
People have been complaining about the Wii U not having any "killer-apps" - and now they're coming, and they're coming at a smooth pace too (one month after each other).
Aside from these first (and third)-party exclusives, it also has a good amount of indie titles coming it's way, as well as some 'AAA' multiplats too boot, which should spice things up a little.
3DS hit it's stride aft...
I like the colors of the PC boxart, really stands out.
PS4 looks great.
XBOX One looks, alright I guess.
Why is the Wii U boxart such a bright blue? Probably a color error - the regular blue looks fine.
XBOX 360 boxart is more-or-less, okay.
PS3 boxart looks alright.
Hope they fix this issue soon.
I don't have any digital downloads on my system, so if it crashes, the only valuable stuff are my save-files.
But even so, they should address this issue.
Who knows - maybe the "Fall System Update" will bring features like this (maybe that's why they keep delaying it).
That's not the reason I wrote this article.
I could care less how less powerful the Wii U is to the PS4/X1.
I wrote this article, because from my point of view, people are slashing each other's throats over which is more powerful and seem to be caring a little bit too much about them.
This is great news!
It's good to see indies taking such a huge interest in Nintendo, and so quickly...It was only last year that the only outlet (besides 3DS) - was the Wii Shop Channel.
It's nice to see Nintendo getting with the program by lessening up on their policies and creating a more dedicated online platform.
And in which universe has EA ever been a strong supporter of Nintendo platforms?
Ever from since the days of the SNES - third~parties have found every reason under the sun to complain about Nintendo platforms, and find a reason not to bring their games to said platforms.
But hey, the 3DS and Wii U have had the best third-party support on Nintendo consoles from since those days.
-Sigh-...this annoying bias against Wii U owners is sad, really.
Do you have intel on every single Wii U owner out there to keep tabs on exactly what they're playing? If not, then why spew pointless foolishness like this.
Right now, I own more third-party titles on my Wii U than I own Nintendo titles, so you definitely can't include me in that loop. I'm not saying people like that DON'T exist, but you can't just go ahead and preach it like...
Even though Need for Speed: Most Wanted U was an excellent port...EA shot themselves in the foot by releasing it a WHOLE 6 MONTHS after the other versions, and that came out on 4 other platforms: PC, PS3, 360 and Vita. So people weren't all that inclined to buy it, as they more than likely already played it and/or owned it, on other platforms.
Now that I think about it...they kind of teased this in the Wii U E3 2011 reveal. Strange...
