Yes, they can be synced.
"Weird way to say it's a year and a half old" .... Um, "Weird" how? It's just another way to say what you just said. The fact of the matter is, it will be turning two this year and a lot about it has changed. That was the significance of the statement, haha.
As for your other note...
It's been done for a while in OTHER titles. The significance is that no other flight sim has done it to this extent before.
As someone who reviewed the game, I can tell you why these issues didn't come up in any early coverage—because they weren't present.
While servers were populated with other reviewers/content creators, there wasn't a large enough pool to really see the length and depth the services were running; not to mention some features weren't activated. But, I can say that I didn't encounter much issues with the online early on aside from some disconnections.
An opinion is never objectively "wrong". That's why it's called an opinion and not a fact.
This is a very specific situation, albeit still a very unfortunate one. I can definitely see how it miffs someone like you; and I'm sure there are many more with similar circumstances. A parent-child option would've been nice too, but I guess in the grand scheme of things, I'm not quite sure there are that many services that even have pricing models like that. I guess the argument is that the child could simply use their parent's membership, but if you're trying to keep yo...
It's a "niche" genre, but a very big niche at that. If it weren't that profitable, then the series wouldn't be three decades old.
Microsoft Flight Simulator has always been a mainstay. This now coming to consoles for the first time will only serve to increase its player base.
It's kind of in the name.
Historically, it tends to have its showcases after everyone else.
Hi, I'm the author of this piece. Thanks for commenting.
First thing - thank you for pointing out the note about using Simbrief. I was unaware of it at the time but have since updated the article with a tutorial I just found on YouTube.
Secondly, there seems to always be an argument as to what is and isn't considered to be "study-level". But, at least from the perspective of what's on offer, the CRJ is the most advanced airliner to ...
Hi, author here.
The game-breaking bugs I mentioned included things like the AP system malfunctioning, for instance. It did but a considerable damper on the experience, though I personally was able to complete a lot of flights both before and after launch. Some had it worse than others with CTD errors, major performance issues, etc.
Then why comment on this? Lol
It isn't. It's a hybrid.
The Switch Lite is a pure handheld. If the Switch was already a handheld, then what would really be the point of a Lite?
Just like how a Toyota Prius isn't a pure electric car like a Tesla, or a pure gasoline car like a Chevy Camaro—it's a bit of both. Same story with the Switch, it's a bit of a handheld and a home console in one.
All of what you just said is mentioned in the article. It's not an expectation, it's speculation just for the fun of it.
The actual racing experience is pretty nice once you get the hang of it. What I meant about it being rough around the edges is that there a few issues the annoyed me, but I still think it's a solid racing game nonetheless (especially since these are issues that can be patched).
Did you read the article?
I was referring to support in terms of new content. The game hasn't received any new DLC or patches for quite some time. The last time was a little while before Horizon 4 came out. So, now that its Forzathon events have also wrapped up, safe to say that Playground Games has moved on completely. Online servers are still active of course, but that's it.
Not sure how you missed all that.
Here's the quote, straight from Microsoft's GDC schedule, pay attention to the last line:
"Now Xbox Live is about to get MUCH bigger. Xbox Live is expanding from 400M gaming devices and a reach to over 68M active players to over 2B devices with the release of our new cross-platform XDK.
Get a first look at the SDK to enable game developers to connect players between iOS, Android, AND SWITCH in addition to Xbox and any game in the Microsoft St...
The report came from Microsoft's official GDC schedule, stating that it is developing a kit for game devs to use that will allow them to integrate XBL into mobile devices and Switch. I don't understand why people keep missing this.

@RauLeCreuset:
I don't know why you just won't take it for what it is. This report came from Microsoft's OFFICIAL GDC schedule. When the event kicks off in a few weeks, we'll hear more about it.
If there was nothing to talk about, then why would so many outlets report on it? And yes, as I said earlier, if it was false or misinformation, then it would only be logical for either Nintendo or Microsoft to come out and clarify, which has happened on mor...
I gave it a 9/10 when I reviewed it at launch. Definitely worth it if you like sim-racers, but want a more casual-friendly experience.
