Incompetent?

The company has a lot going on all at once (and that's just looking at what we know about).

I don't know why people are making noise over DK's delay. It's not like it's some arcane event that Nintendo delays a title. 9/10 times they delay their titles, because they take pride in their AAA games and always try to get it as close to perfection as possible.

How many times do you hear of a Nintendo title having a ...

Put it this way:

- Between the releases of Super Mario 3D Land, MK7 and LoZ: Ocarina of Time 3D ~ the 3DS did a complete 180 in the sales department. The system was flat-lining until those titles got released.

If that's anything to go by, 3D World coupled with Wind Waker HD and next year's release of MK8 should boost sales quite a bit.

Very true, they do cruise at their own speed, but put it this way - they fixed a LOT more MAJOR issues first.

You have to prioritize. What's more important:

- Having a unified account system

OR

- Speeding up and stabilizing the entire operating system of the system?

...Those are some other third-party companies (that I can name off the top of my head) that are currently supporting Wii U.

EA dropped support after Need for Speed: Most Wanted U, and admitted that they refuse to touch it until it starts selling again. Besides; they only released 4 ports. 2 wer...

The game still lacks local co-op, doesn't have the high-res textures pack, and also has some bad loading times.

But even so, Ubisoft shouldn't expect sales to increase if they choose to ignore it completely.

They should at least try to make the push to show that: "Hey. It's on Wii U too."

Now, how on earth does Nintendo not have an interest in their own platform?

- They've been releasing a major firs...

The only people who seem to have this unhealthy devotion to a single company, are the complete fanboys.

Even the devs and employees of don't sworn total obedience to their companies.

Games and consoles are meant to be enjoyed by any and everyone.

And yet, people still have the gall to say:

"See? This is why third-parties don't bother bringing games to the Wii U. Because you don't buy them!!!"

You'd expect Ubi to make an attempt to advertise that there is also a Wii U version. How could they ever expect people to know about it before-hand?

This would have been an interesting pitch.

I was on a cruise a few weeks ago, and even though there was a TV in the cabin, it was impossible to get to the video ports. So all I did was plug the system in, and played Need for Speed Most Wanted U for a few hours.

That's some serious convenience.

Playing on a console gives me the peace of mind that when I buy a game and put it in the disc slot, it's going to work and I can have fun.

Most people can't have that seamless experience with PC. With a PC, you have to stay in the upgrade-loop in order to enjoy the prettier graphics at a steady framerate. I used to be a full-on PC gamer, but recently switched too consoles for my main gaming fixes. I still game on PC because I love my simulators, but other than that, I...

Even if the N64 and GC didn't win with those franchises, N was still able to turn a profit. That's the most important thing.

I don't know why everyone is expecting either of the new systems to show all their power cards at LAUNCH.

What system not named SNES has had games using it's full technical capacity from launch?

NONE!

Is this the Summer update we were promised?

Iwata did say: "End of September or beginning of October."

Monday is the end of the September, with Tuesday being the beginning of October and starting the first week of the new month.

Coincidence? I hope so.

What do cars, airplanes, boats, tractors, big rigs and any other machine need to operate properly? Fuel.

In like manner - VIDEO-GAME consoles have their own life-source. No, not electricity. GAMES.

Software, has always and will always sell hardware.

So what can Nintendo do to market the Wii U better?

3DS flatlined within it's first year too.

Did it die? No.

As with any console - games are needed in order for the system to sell. The Wii U has gone half the year with little-to-NO worthy retail releases. Now that's changing, as N is supplying a major title each month until December, along with third-party exclusives, AAA multiplats and a plethora of indie titles.

Pikmin 3's launch in Japan proved that all the system needs is a ma...

Ubisoft has been a strong supporter for Wii U - but they've also side-swiped Wii U owners a few times as well.

- Rayman Legends was supposed to be a LAUNCH title, but got an understandable delay. Then it was delayed again and lost it's Wii U exclusivity (which is actually good, so that other players can enjoy it).

- Splinter Cell: Blacklist is missing the local co-op features, as well as the high-resolution textures pack, and also has some bad loading...

1.)
~ I can understand people getting confused with the name at first - but now it's just ridiculous. The PACKAGING is different (what add-on that isn't named 'Wii Balance Board' or 'Guitar Hero Set' comes in such a big box?) Not to mention the game cases are a different color and design. Should I add that Nintendo also produced flyers showing a difference between Wii & Wii U, or that they sent an email to all original Wii owners, advertising the Wii U and ...

95% of the third-party titles that the Wii U has received have been half-baked. They've either had missing features, technical difficulties, or both.

How does one expect to have good sales if you're releasing a half-baked version of the game?

I know they didn't plan for the system to hit a rough patch right after launch ~ but just like the 3DS - they're starting their 180-maneuver.

After the success the 3DS came, which remember, was REALLY flat-lining (it even came out of the gate in a bad state) - I can't see how people actually have the audacity too try and doom Nintendo again. Oh wait...this unwarranted hate has been going on from since the N64 days, yet they haven't sunk yet. Interesting...

The concept is somewhat arcane, yet also clever.

Even gaming PCs are still held back due to the extra resources needed by the Windows/MAC OS. So what Valve did is team up with the Linux group to make an OS that's streamlined to specifically power games. This gives core PC gamers even more of an edge. And when it's time for an upgrade - you can still pop it open and install a new graphics card.

I don't know if I'll ever buy it myself, but I lik...

Sweet list.

Just recently bought Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, loving it so far. LEGO City Undercover and Need for Speed Most Wanted U have also been a major blast to play.

I have a close eye on Pikmin 3 - probably might pick that up later on, as well as DKC: Tropical Freeze and Project CARS.

It's great to see the Wii U finally get some flames in it's boosters. Coupled with the price-cut, this thing will hopefully do a 3D...
