Mario has a lot of mini-series. The Party, Tennis, Golf, Olympic Games, mainly. That's what makes it seem like there are an over saturation.
But to be honest, Nintendo is doing the same thing Ubi does with Assassin's Creed and that Activision does with CoD - keep the games rolling because they make money.
They're a game company. What do you expect them to do? If they didn't make money and get good ratings from all the different Mario-something...
It's a shame that it got delayed until next year. I was really looking forward to picking it up this year.
Oh well; better late than never! Can't wait to get some Wii U screens/footage. Using a game like this along with the Gamepad will be gold.
With retail games getting bigger and bigger ~ going digital is going to be harder. Even with a 1TB HDD - it would only be a matter of time before it's filled up if games have a file-size like CoD: Ghosts, unless they go ahead and hire Nintendo to perform their arcane compression wizardry.
I think I'll keep buying retail games in their physical form, and leave my HDD space for indie titles, demos and apps.
- Devs abusing DLC
- Aggressive DRM
- The dry aftermaths of the Wii U and 3DS launches
- Vita's first run
- PSN Hack
- RROD
- Kinect (My goodness ~ to think I was actually going to buy it)
- Third-parties either short-changing or completely ignoring Wii
- Fanboys clawing each other's eyes out like wild, rabid, brainless animals (only now it's going to get worse....)
Yep; those are the things about thi...
That would be nice - but it would really rock if it's one of their second-parties taking care of it (Retro, MonolithS oft - for example). That way it doesn't hinder the development of the bigger titles.
All of the recent remakes they've done thus far have been excellent, so I don't see why they should stop. It would be a neat little way of tiding over players between big releases.
And when there IS a positive - someone always has to try and put a negative spin on it just for the sake of continuing the relentless bashing.
i.e: Someone who's profile picture is a dude in a blue shirt.
I see your point.
Thankfully, all of the new systems have the background-download function which will download new updates when it's in sleep mode - so that takes away the hassle of having to wait a few minutes after you run the game.
I think they focus on adding online in games that would best deserve it: (Smash, MK, etc.) I don't seee how it would fit in a game like 3D World. Platformers in general don't really need online multiplayer, as IMO, they're more suited for local co-op.
Nontheless - one can't argue that their attempts at advancing in the Internet-district have been decent, to say the least. Look at Miiverse, the eShop, Wii Sports Club - for example.
Whenever you realize your sarcastic taunts are unnecessary and frankly un-humorous, then you can come and talk to me.
Everyone has opposing views; I never said that was a bad thing. You just love taking my statements out of context...
My point was - this is a positive article, yet there are still people who are trying to spin it off as being faulty and turn it into a negative article - for what?.
THAT is my point.
This is just annoying at this point.
Resolution, pixel count...My goodness, when will it end?!
Can't everyone just shut up - play their games, enjoy em and have fun? What - are you going to be glaring at every individual pixel?!
I find it amazing how even when a positive article, that actually speaks good of the system for a change - STILL finds meddling naysayers to turn around and smack it regardless.
Seriously; are you kidding me? All the guy did was give his opinion - a positive, personal opinion about the system - and yet you people still try and look for faults to kick around? Wow.
Nonetheless - I got it almost a year ago and it's been a blast. The Internet Browser is gold....
While I do like the creative-flare that the 360-cases had with with the streaks ~ I guess I'm starting to warm up to the rather minimalistic green.
While I still prefer the blue of the PS4 and Wii U cases (biased: I love blue) ~ the XBOX One cases don't look half bad.
Now if only they could at least attempt to give the hardware boxes more eye-candy....
No.
While I must say, I love playing games on my Nexus 7 - especially the more impressive ones like Asphalt 8, Sonic 4: Episode II, Riptide GP, and Real Racing 3 - just to name a few - these games don't have the same depth as console/handheld titles.
The main games on smartphones and tablets are casual (as in, pick-up-&-play) ~ so they lack any real depth. They are designed to keep you occupied for short bursts of time - like waiting for a bus, in a w...
I've said it before and I'll say it again:
This is a flawed, baseless and illogical argument.
PCs and consoles are built differently. Yes; gaming PCs and game consoles are built with the main objective of playing games, but they handle that objective in different ways.
Consoles are closed systems. Their specs don't change until they are succeeded by a new system, as they cannot be upgraded. So then, their games are optimized for t...
And you'd be the first to call it a fantastic innovation and how N's version is in-superior.
Try again.
I still don't know how a troll like you has 6 bubbles...
I find it interesting how everyone is saying that this was a "good move" on Sony's part.
Now, I wonder; let's say they DS4 did include a touchscreen - what would the reaction be?
I highlighted that the Wii sold more than the PS3 and 360. Notice: "PS3<Wii"
I only have PS3 there because it is the most powerful console of the 7th-gen.
You can't sell a VIDEO-GAME console without any GAMES.
For half the year the console has had a little trickle of new games. So naturally, it wouldn't be selling very well, now would it? 3DS alone proved that a system not only needs to be priced right; but it needs to have big-name games that people are interested in.
That's why it too was slunking when it first released - as it didn't have the games. After a decent price cut and the release of...
Tell that to this:
Master System < NES
Neo Geo < SNES
N64 < PS1
XBOX < GCN
PS3 < Wii
PSP < DS
...Those systems, at the "Greater than" mark - were the weakest systems of their generation, yet they sold the most. Specs don't sell consoles, software do.
If I were planning on going full digital - I'd be sweating.
But since I plan to keep buying retail games in their physical form, and leave my HDD space for indie titles, demos and apps ~ then it doesn't bother me.
Should let Nintendo work their compression magic. They know how to pack big things in small packages (i.e: Super Mario 3D World only 2GB)
