The problem that I see on the software side of the PS4 and XBOX One, is that most of their launch titles can be found on the PS3 and XBOX 360 - which are consoles most people already own.
The very fact that there is still so much content flowing on the veterans just might choke (not to say alot, but it still will) - the software (and possibly hardware sales) of their successors.
It was different at the beginning of the 7th-gen; the PS2 was really the only act...
While the green is a really eye-catching color ~ there's way too much of it. I prefer the PS4 and Wii U's designs better.
Bubble Up: "Funny"
~ I came here because the degrees were so high. I was curious to see why it had so many clicks. :P
Seriously ~ An article (more like a random forum post, IMO) like this gets over 290-degree heat?
Okay then....
Just for the sake of answering your question;
$20 can get me another game. :P
"Wii U owners don't buy third-party games!"
- No; we aren't buying HALF-BAKED third-party games. I just don't understand. The console isn't as profitable as the other, more established systems - true. So what do you do? "Okay. We shouldn't expect that much sales from the Wii U version - so let's just throw something together."
...That seems to be the mindset of most of these third-party devs and it's so annoying...
I don't know how much farther you expect N to reduce the price. Remember ~ they're still selling it at a loss, now more than ever. Do you think these things are just magically created? They take money to manufacture.
That "dinky" 32GB memory was created to keep the price down as far as possible (better than 4GB in my opinion). It's just enough for those who don't want to go full digital; those who only plan to download a few demos, apps and maybe th...
There's a saying:
Recognizing your failures are the first steps to success. If you think of yourself as this all-powerful, perfect being ~ then you'll just end up becoming arrogant and tripping up.
Iwata's statement was definetly bold and unexpected ~ but it's good. It shows that he plans to run his company in a way that's different. Instead of trying to become a carbon-copy of everyone else, they're purposely being different. I admire...
The Wii was basically an overclocked GameCube, so the gap between the Wii and it's most powerful rival - the PS3 - was rather big. The Wii couldn't even output past 480p.
The gap between the Wii U and the PS4 on the other hand is much smaller. The PS4 is of course the more powerful machine, no doubt. But the Wii U isn't behind the times as much as people think it is.
Shin'en has already given a little insight as to what the console can do:
During the 7th-gen, Wii owners got shafted due to lackluster hardware ~ so what's the excuse now?
Ubi - You've been doing good so far; but good grief, gimping your games is only going to irritate potential buyers.
@thebudgetgamer
The SEGA Master System was a faster machine than the NES, so technically, it was a few notches more powerful.
Specs have never made a system. The games have always been the heart and core of console-gaming, as that's what it's all about (or at least should be, going by today's terms).
But if specs did make a system, the why have for the last 5 full generations, the weakest consoles have won?
NES > Master System
SNES > Neo Geo
PSX > N64
PS2 > XBOX
Wii > PS3
DS > PSP
If you insist that ...
"Oh, it has this many cores!"
"It's using this GPU!"
"It's using that CPU!"
"It can do this many gigaflops!"
....Blah, blah, blah.
I'm not buying a PC. I'm buying a console.
I'm not a computer mechanic, or developer. I'm a gamer.
I really don't care about what's inside the console. I don't care how much RAM it has, or things of that nat...
I'm totally psyched for this game!
Doubt my PC would ever be able to run this. So playing this on the U is gonna be sweet.
(From the article):"Other information about the Wii U version that isn’t widely known is that the game appears to only be using 1 out of the 3 cores available for use on the Wii U, something Shin’en Multimedia has admitted to only be using for it’s Wii U eShop game, Nano Assault Neo.

While I can see why emulating the Gamepad as a Classic Controller would have been awesome - this wasn't exactly meant to be played with any motion-control heavy games. Titles like Sonic Colors and Mario Galaxy for example could get away with it, as the motion control is very lax in those games, but titles Wii Sports, Just Dance and Mario Kart for example - just wouldn't suit this setup.
Maybe in the future N might implement this feature.
Why bother even doing the spec comparison?
It's a PC - an UPGRADE-ABLE PC, at that. The only thing that makes it different is that it's running a modified Linux OS.
It's impossible to make a fair comparison because while the "Steambox" can be upgraded, the PS4, X-One and Wii U can't. Their specs will remain the same until they're replaced by their successors. Besides, the architecture for consoles vs. PC are completely different....
EA just added a new entry in the term "backstabbing".
If Nintendo did trust them (which they really seemed to be doing, as they had EA come up on stage during their E3 2011 keynote presentation, and allegedly asked them to help them create the Wii U's online infrastructure) - EA completely side-swiped them.
They were even bold enough to declare that they wouldn't start making games for Wii U again until it starts moving units. All they care...
This list seems to be picking at straws. Like the article says - N isn't perfect, nothing is, but there was a tad bit of over-exaggerating, at least in my opinion.
I'd really like to see a game like X, Bayonetta 2 or Pikmin 3 run on the Wii.
Wow - 90 degrees? Are you kidding me?
Had this been "Even with a price drop and a familiar face - Wii U still isn't selling" ~ this probably would be getting double the attention, with most of the comments in the form of:
"Hah! See? Your pathetic console can't even get off shelves! Wait till next month; it'll really make you cry! PS4 BABY!!! WOOT!!!! GREATNESS AWAITS!"
- Good to see the system picking up. With ...
