Gameplay > Graphics.
A game can look down right hyper-realistic; having incredibly high quality textures, advanced lighting and shadows, and all the other bells-&-whistles cranked up to 11 ~ but if it's boring, broken, or even both - then it's pretty looks mean nothing.
Graphics are to games what make-up is to women; something to make them look pretty. If they're rotten, or le-average at the core (games = gameplay, women = personality) ~ th...
You make a lot of decent of points. And I agree with you to a certain extent. The only ones I really don't see eye-to-eye with you are these;
5 - While they are decent, most of them are available on the older systems, systems that many more people already own, and that are still selling very well. So that really gives less incentive to the average Joe to get a new system, when so many new games are still being supported on something he already owns.

It should be interesting to see how this turns out.
Wii U could be just fine due to a surge in sales from big-name titles. But PS4 could also surpass it if it's able to keep the sales rolling, even after the launch-hype dwindles (which usually happens to consoles in their first year).
The IPs may be the same, but each game is different from the next in many ways. Only the core elements stay the same.
Yearly releases like Assassin's Creed, Madden, FIFA, NFS, and Call of Duty (well asude from NFS and AC - they all stay the same, basically) are guilty of the same thing. But I don't see much complaining
Because Japan loves the Shen series and not XBOX?
Well this is quite interesting:
*PSN experiences problems - Sony apologies and tries to fix it*
- "It's cool. Take your. Time. We understand."
*Nintendo Network experiences problems - they apologize and try to fix it*
- "What?! How can this happen?! We need some compensation for this! Unacceptable! Nintendo is so unprepared !!"
See you in 30 years
So because some hackers were able to get the Gamepad to be able to function through Windows - that makes Nintendo irrelevant?
You can use an XBOX One controller on PC. DS4 too. Does that make MS or Sony irrelevant too? No, of course not.
What makes you think there's going to be an emulator for Wii U? Are you the one building it? PS3 and 360 are nearly 10-years old; and there's yet to be an emulator for them to this day.
Nintendo alrea...
They only do that if you own a Wii U console and the controller gets damaged or lost.
It's very expensive to manufacture, you know. Besides; there are no games that support 2 Gamepads yet, so there's no incentive for them to do it anyway.
Don't know how close these numbers are to the actual real-time figures; but it does show one thing ~ all three home systems are doing quite well, which is good.
I'm surprised XBOX One is selling so much. I thought the name was going to throw people off, and the price-tag to boot. But good, nonetheless.
This was an unforeseen occurrence.
Server overloads are common. How many times does N4G go out?
They had a large influx of users trying to pile on at the same time ~ that puts a lot of stress on the servers.
It's not as if other game companies don't have these problems:
PSN, XBOX Live, Steam? Forgot about those? What about the whole fiasco when GTA Online first launched?
This is PSN4G.com, didn't you get the memo?
Just kidding folks, but hey, it's good news, and any good news is good.
Continue to prove my point, with the double-edged sword bias.
Before Miiverse 3DS released, they had extended server maintenance, meaning that they already prepped their servers for the influx of traffic. But as I said, server overloads can still happen.
Why should they have delayed a finished app, and kept people waiting longer? Ubisoft tried that and got some serious backlash. It's not exactly the same scenario this time - but the principles of the matt...
Makes sense.
Throttle traffic in intervals to keep less stress of the severs.
Still don't know why so many people are losing their heads over this, like server-overloads are some new occurrence.
Yeah, yeah ~ It's always a major issue when Nintendo has a problem. We've seen this before; do you really have to stoop to that asinine level as well just or the sake of getting clicks?
Royally pathetic.
Is it a "lack of poor planning" when XBOX Live goes out? What about PSN? Steam? What about GTA Online's debut?
Servers can only handle so much information at once. With so many people trying to connect at the same time, ...
While this would have been an excellent fit for the system, as well as 3DS, I can't say I'm surprised. There's always an excuse when it comes down to Nintendo consoles.
Why yes.
Because announcements of new releases and a climbing rate of sales, even to the point of being sold out in some areas = death?
Yup, doomed.
I've only received one Amazon ticket from this site...AND IT WAS AWESOME!
I WANT ANOTHA!!!
(Come on - who doesn't love free stuff?)
Well Nintendo has always been that "business-guy" type, who you always expect a level of maturity and cleanliness from, so Zelda's design fits the bill. Most of their female do (although True Midna, kind of border-lined it).
That's why I'm still shocked that they had no qualms about picking up Bayonetta 2. Smart move, but her design is completely opposite of Nintendo's nature.
Don't forget LEGO City: Undercover.
