That's why I don't check for the *mainstream* preference.
People have been down-playing the U's Gamepad for a good while now; and I have yet to find any valid fault. Games like Rayman Legends, Lego City Undercover, Zombi U, NFS: Most Wanted U, Deus X, Batman: Arkham City, Wind Waker HD, Nintendo Land, Pikmin 3, and Splintercell: Blacklist
- have already used it in some pretty awesome ways.
I love it.
Kinect? Yes, I agree.
The Gamepad?
Well - in my own opinion - I'm glad it's the mainline, instead of an add~on.
It wouldn't even exist if Nintendo didn't take interest.
They seem to be poised to team up with a lot of third-parties studios for some excellent exclusive titles. We've already seen a few (The Wonderful 101, Lego City Undercover, Rayman Legends *originally*, Sonic Lost World and Sonic Boom).
I don't agree.
Both are very innovative in their own right - when used correctly.
While Kinect has never been my cup of tea; I still see that it has some serious potential, if it's implemented correctly.
I own a Wii U - and I can tell you right off the bat that the Gamepad is an amazing controller. Exactly; it's a CONTROLLER - not a "tablet wanna-be". That touchscreen has added a layer of depth that didn't even exis...
This must be really big. o.O
Let's hope all goes according to plan.
It's almost been ten years from since the PS3 and X360 have released; and there still isn't any emulators for either of them.
So if anything, I say 20.
I don't play heavily violent video games in general; regardless of what platform they're on.
I'm into racing games, and platformers, with a few strategy games thrown into the mix.
The Wii U version could be beastly if Ubi does it correctly. Even if it may not look as good as the PS4, X1 and PC versions; Ubi already said it would look somewhere in between those versions and the PS3/360 versions. They said the same with ACIV: Black Flag; which turned out to look phenomenal on Wii U.
The only reason it would suck if Ubi WANTS it too. Many have already talked about how cool it would be to use the Gamepad, which is a perfect fit for such a game. Like Splint...
Translation:
"The Wii U version doesn't mean that much to us. It's a pity release, that we anticipate will flop anyway. For that reason; we're focusing on the other versions first and foremost and will consider finishing up the Wii U version later."
My take on it:
It's this same, dumb mentality of putting Nintendo gamers last that turn off buyers. If it's a flop; that's on Ubi's head first.
People love to knock N down for not making "cutting-edge" hardware; and yet, their hardware has always been praised. They always make their hardware with durability, quality, and an inviting price tag; no to mention the features themselves are very innovative.
I have a very hard time genuinely seeing a game like Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Kirby or the others doing well on other platforms. "Casual" games rarely do well on PS and XBOX, depending on what it is. T...
Welcome to the 'U'niverse!
Neat feature; but, I haven't been a fan of browser games from since I was in elementary school.
Although there are still a few I wouldn't mind playing; those are all in Flash-format, so, it's a no-go.
Still cool though.
Even if the comment score is low; the amount of clicks generate how "hot" the news is.
Really is an eye-catcher..
If Ninty plays their cards right and runs a big advertisement blow-out with this; the Wii U will definitely soar. Just ask 3DS what got it's engines revved up (pun, entirely intended) when it was having it's early-life woes.
Let there be a bundle; you better believe Wii U will take off.
That's up to EA.
Crysis 3 was almost done and they told them to pull the plug on the Wii U version...
This is one of the growing number of titles that show that the Wii U, despite being behind the PS4 and XBOX One; really can output some beautiful games.
BRB-Entertainment is doing a sweet job with the visuals.
I have absolutely no idea how to feel about this..Like, woah.
I've been a Sonic fan from since the days of Sonic Heroes; that was one of my first video games and also my first Sonic game. Seeing him go through all these experiences over the years has been a wild ride, and now, this comes along..Completely different from anything we've seen before.
It isn't the first time they've transformed the series..but this is just woah...
My goodness; I laughed a bit too much at some of these posts..the captions didn't help with that either.
And I thought the weird side of YouTube was insane..I thought wrong.
Interestingly enough, someone made an adapter that allows your Wii/Wii U, to recognize your original GC controller as a Wii Classic Controller.. so if you have any old ones lying around (or buy a third party one from Gamestop, pretty good quality) - http://www.amazon.com/Mayfl...
Nice. Although the game selection was pretty thin.
