No, no, no. Don't give me that.
If your platform of choice was singled out as the delay-ee, you'd probably feel the same way.
Nobody likes being obviously treated as a lower-class citizen. We're all Gamers; and despite our differences in opinion, we should not be treated differently as a consumer group - being separated by corporate perks.
It would be different if this game were just announced to be coming to the Wii U; but the ki...
Um, what?
All my respect for them, officially gone. Not only was that an arrogant thing to say; it was bone-headedly stupid.
If about 1+ million people buy the game across 3 platforms, how many do you think are going to want to, (possibly 6 months later), buy it/buy it again for a higher price? Fools!
I'm going to buy the game, yes. I know my PC can't run it, and I don't own a PS4 nor an XOne - but believe me, if that price isn...
Specs don't make a system great.
The games do.
This was a truly stupid and evil decision.
I've been showering SMS with praise because I thought their efforts were admirable, because they were one of the few 3rd party companies that actually seemed to genuinely care about Nintendo consoles and the gamers on them. Pfft - that admiration just got vaporized like rain water in a desert.
I don't see who could even approve such a decision, let alone think of it. I know Smash is coming out in a similar ti...
Wait? What? W H A T?!
1.) The Wii U version was in development BEFORE the PS4/X1 versions.
2.) The XBOX One has Forza Horizon 2 coming out. PS4 has Driverclub coming out, and BOTH systems are getting The Crew.
3.) According to the poll ON THE GAME'S WEBSITE: most users have voted to be more interested in the Wii U version, with PS4 4th and XBOX One dead last.
... With those three reasons in tow, how on earth could this ha...
And cake!
These guys at Slightly Mad as well as other studious like Criterion, Platinum, and Shin'en are practically the only third-party companies that have really put REAL effort into their titles for the Wii U.
Yes, others like SEGA, Namco Bandai, and Ubisoft have done so as well - but I'm talking above-average effort, like what's going on with the PS4 an XBOX One. They're not trying to look for stupid excuses or deliberately half-baking e...
Most of those terms I really don't understand; but for the ones that I do - I must say, that's impressive. My only gripe is the 30FPS - but then again, Most Wanted U ran at a similar framerate and I've been having oodles of fun with it, so no real biggy.
What I don't understand is how PS4 footage is the ONLY CONSOLE FOOTAGE WE'VE SEEN. The Wii U version has been existence long before that; and SMS has talked about it a lot. I don't get why they're...
Excuse me? Lack of what?
Pfft. That line ended last year summer, dude. :P
The first time I saw the logo a few months ago, I thought it was a Wii U game...I mean look at it! It basically says "Destiny U"...
Of course I quickly corrected myself, but seriously could have fooled me.
I was honestly expecting the IGN community to flip the table over and go full-on #PlayStationisBeast Mode.
Not trying to knock the PS4; but let's be real - IGN is probably more pro-Sony than N4G - and THAT'S saying something.
But in all honesty; Nintendo really deserves it. They did an amazing job at this year's E3. It's the best one from since E3 2010. Awesome presentation, indeed.
. . . I didn't win? What?
Hmmm... Not cool. I thought hard and wrote a number of blogs and I was pretty dang sure ONE was going to be the golden ticket. Pity.
Oh well, Summer isn't over yet. I have a lot more time to shine.
The boxart looks pretty cool. Would fit nicely in my collection. I can't wait for this game!
Watch Dogs is an open-world title. Getting 60FPS on a game like that is pretty difficult, unless the game is crazy optimized. Open-world games are always more demanding.
In all honesty; he has a point. While it may appear to be a little self-centered - it really isn't.
Nintendo brings a different flare to the table - a flare that basically no other company has ever been able to replicate. I'm not saying that all the other developers out there are inferior - but Nintendo as a whole really takes pride and dedication into their work. Even if it means delaying a title for a few months (or years); when they deliver a new AAA-title ~ they d...
I find it funny how when Nintendo announces they've sealed an exclusive with an outside publisher - everybody suddenly wants it on every other system. (This is happened many times before, not just in Wii U's lifetime).
But what's even funnier - is when a dev announces they WON'T be bringing their game to Nintendo systems - anyone who dare asks "Why?" is bombarded with flack like "Why on earth should they bring it to Nintendo systems?"
Haha.
I remember when I went to go buy Pikmin 3 back in December of 2013 from Target - and the clerk asked me if I have a Wii U. I laughed and responded "Yes, I actually do. I know the difference." His response was: "Just checking man."
Him saying that made me believe that the message finally got across to people (and STORES, for crying out loud) - that the "Wii U" was NOT the "Wii".
Apparently someon...
That's funny; considering the reviews for the Nintendo AAA titles say otherwise. "Imaginative, fun, fresh" - are some common words.
Not trying to stick up for Nintendo like a fanboy; that's just what I've been seeing.
The level of quality we're seeing now with console titles - PC has been doing similar levels for a few years now.
2011. It's called Sonic Generations. :P
Wii U has sold about 6+ million worldwide. It's actually closer to the PS4 in sales than the XOne is.
