Cute try.
They said it'd be between the last and current gen system, and it looks like they kept their promise
I gotta say; the presentation is really good. Very crisp graphics. But the price-tag is the real trash here. No DLC and 6 months late? NO!
They just announced that sales have improved and they're making a profit. That's all that matters.
Why are we still getting articles about the console needing to be saved? It's already been done.
I was hoping we'd be playing it within 2 weeks, seeing that so much news about it has appeared recently. This is a bit disheartening...Either way - Can't wait!
*Accidental Double Post *
With a massive lineup next year, the launch of Amiibo, and Miyamoto just stating that there are several titles in development ; NO - of course they're not gearing up for their next system. It's in development, that's a given, but that thing won't be ready for at least the next 3-5 years. You'd be dreaming if you think they're replacing a TWO YEAR OLD system, with all these games slated to come out.
I guess common sense isn't so common anymore...
After reading the article; it's clear that most people here:
A.) Didn't read it at all
or
B.) Are cherry-picking and taking things out of context.
- Basically, what the author is saying is that the XBOX One is looking more attractive than ever, and Sony shouldn't just sit pretty and do nothing. They have the clear advantage, but they should make sure that they KEEP that advantage.
Wait....But I thought Nintendo was DOOOOOOOMED?!?! /s
Great to hear that the company's finances have improved. Both Wii U and 3DS are doing quite well for themselves.
- I never said they were perfect.
- This is INDIE support, not third-party support.
- Hair-splitting to praise Nintendo? Hah, I wish.
Problem is, it couldn't look further from a Sonic game. I think they're sticking to their old habits from the Jak and Daxter series, a bit too much.
People spend so much time trying to split hairs to diss Nintendo; that the positive things they do - (which tend to out-rule the number of negative things) - are overlooked.
Good to see an article like this getting a modest amount of heat.
@WeAreLegion - I said that. I made a typo, though - should be "in '06" . Also, why all the dislikes?
I was counting from the release of the last system (PS3). If you really want to get technical; it actually started with the DS - which was 2004. 360 and PSP followed in '05, with Wii and PS3 and '06.
Turn a profit? Its been doing that for a few months now. Ask MS how much money they're LOSING with the one, and also ask Sony how good it feels to see the profits the PS4 generates to be undermined by the ailing sectors of their company.
Dang. I didn't even know such a thing existed. Awesome find! +1 Bubble.
No. But Bayonetta 2, Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker, Sonic Boom, and Super Smash Bros. are. And guess what; they won't be anywhere else.
I like it how people assume Nintendo's titles are "kiddie". Most of the titles Nintendo has released for the Wii U have been downright difficult. SM3D World, MK8 and Pikmin 3 come to mind; you really need a lot of strategy and patience to 100% games like those, and those are just a handful of examples.
Just because it isn't rated M - doesn't make it kiddie. "Kiddie" games are rated 'C'. Games rated 'E' are simply for everyone t...
This is exactly what I was saying SHOULD happen. There's just too much other stuff happening next month; over-saturation if you ask me.
Hopefully the Wii U version releases the same time now.
Great news to hear that the console is on the rise. How things will pan out in the future is most certainly a mystery - but as it relates to right now, I'm proud to be a happy Wii U owner.
Leave it to the oh so very educated folks at N4G to spin this WAY out of proportion!
Basically he's saying that PS4 and XBOX One are practically land-locked. They have the same games, and very similar features. At the end of the day, there are very few differences between the two, except for exclusive content.
On the other hand; the U offers a different experience. In all honesty, it's good to have an alternative. The U appeals to a different market. ...
