Considering it's had to fight for attention among other 4 platforms all of which were/are getting games that it's not; I'd say it's doing pretty well for itself.

As to how nonsensical flame bait get's past N4G's oh, so, wonderful "mods" - I have yet to understand; because that's exactly what this article is.

He provided screenshots and even a link to accompany it. It was up for a few hours, but it was probably done for testing purposes - as it is now offline.

This sounds pretty good. The Nintendo Network isn't as illustrious as PSN or XBL, but little-by-little it's getting there.

Very eye-catching. Good call! I'm surprised this isn't also getting a red-case like MK8 and SM3DW.

Is it wrong that I first read this as "iBUYPOWER SEX" ? o.O

Goodness; the GC controller just refuses to die! You know you've got yourself a good design when you support it for over 15 years!

At this point; I really wonder why people think that Nintendo releasing a more powerful system will ensure success. They tried that already, and (at least up until the PS4); power has not caused any system to win the "war". In fact, it's the weak(est) systems of the generation that end up selling the most. Going as far back as the 3rd-gen up until now, that has been the case.

That's not gonna sway the third-parties. They've already gotten used to having ...

Exactly how much R&D does it take to put a map down on the Gampead screen, and enable off-TV play? For a game like AC; the second-screen opportunities are there, but not really a necessity - so I doubt that's the issue. A game like Watch_Dogs on the other hand just seems like a natural fit.

People keep saying it's the Gamepad that causes developers to sideswipe the system - but believe you me that's not it. Indies seem to deal with it just fine, and those are...

Ubisoft's problem was that they seemed to be doing more out of charity than actually seeking a proper business opportunity. For instance; as to how they can complain about a low-budget launch title (ZombiU) selling 700k + units is far beyond my comprehension.

Let's also look how they've been giving U owners slap after slap. Remember the whole Rayman Legends fiasco? They delayed that game 2 weeks before it's release to announce that it'd be coming 7 months ...

Because it wouldn't be right...Generations was an anniversary title; a celebration of Sonic's history up until 2011. Something along the lines of Unleashed 2, Colors 2 or Lost World 2 would make much more sense.

I find it strange they didn't use the Hedgehog Engine from jump-street. It's been working quite fine from since Unleashed, and Generations really showed it off.

CRYENGINE is good for realistic games; but not fantasy-style like this. I agree with you.

Having been a longtime Sonic fan and happy owner of the Wii U; Rise of Lyric has seemed more and more depressing every time I saw it. Honestly, the first trailer for the game was downright epic, but every bit of gameplay I've seen after that is like: "What?"

This really seems like it's gonna be Sonic 06s' even uglier brother...If that's possible.

Eh? Have you been paying attention to the soundtracks for Nintendo's latest games? The live instruments have really enhanced the experience of titles like Mario Kart 8 and Super Mario 3D World.

I can name a list of video game STs that I can't get out of my head. Goodness, don't get me started.

If Nintendo were the exact replica of Sony/MS; then we'd have 3 dinosaurs going after one scrap of meat - and that sounds like it'll get boring really fast.

No matter where you go - you're always going to have that one guy (or company) which has to be different. I'm that kind of person. My haircut is WAY different than most others in my school. Instead of a backpack or shoulder bag, I carry a suitcase to school. Most of the other students speak with a dialect...

*Pre*"Current-Gen? The hell?

The Wii U is as much "current-gen" as PS4 and XBO is. Generation is defined by AGE not specs, dude.

This is the beauty of Indie devs. Honestly; if we didn't have people like that, this industry would be nothing more than greed and corruption...More so than it already is.

For a neat-freak like myself; I'm THRILLED they finally added folders (Yes, I'm getting ecstatic over folders...You should see the screens of my laptop and tablet). I also like the fact you can COLORIZE them. Makes sorting even easier. :-)

Also, the HOME menu re-design looks pretty slick.

Now then...I just wish they would add stuff like:

- MP3 and Blu-Ray playback
- Themes for the main menu (like what the 3DS is getting)

Dang; and I was looking forward to playing this. Hope all goes well with the development.

Considering that this is the norm for Wii U titles; and we have gorgeous games like SM3D World, Mario Kart 8, Bayo2, and Sonic Lost World running with this set-up ~ I have no complaints.

The screenshots look great. Although I enjoyed the vibrant colors from the original Wiiware titles; Shin'en once again proves that the U can do more than what most give it credit for.
