By that logic; then it shouldn't be on PS4, PS3,VITA, iOS, or Android. This acquisition isn't something that happened overnight; if Mojang really wanted to, they would have done a U version when they were working on X1, PS4 and VITA.
Sorry, but not even the original Wii could handle 600p; and while gameplay DOES overshadow graphics - this is blatant second-class-citizen treatment, here. The U is closer to the XBOX One that it is to the 360 - so really, it should AT THE VERY LEAST BE 720p.

Considering I still see PS3 bundles going for prices close to that - and that console is nearly TEN YEARS OLD - the Wii U's price is perfect, especially when you consider you're getting 2 free games.
I don't usually get caught up in the whole graphics-debate, but in all honesty, for what was supposed to be a last-gen only title; this game even surpasses Watch_Dogs.
On paper - canceling it sounds like the better choice; but they'd only end up losing more money. The R&D has already been put into it, and we have no idea how long it's been worked on, so, their best bet is to just release it.

That'd be pretty stupid. The 3DS is a handheld...MUCH less risk to "upgrade" than an entire home system. And Nintendo has done it before with their handhelds (Gameboy ---> Gameboy Color ---> Gameboy Advance ----> Gameboy Advance SP and then DS ---> DS-Lite ---> DSi ---> DSi XL).

Slightly enhancing a handheld is MUCH simpler/less risky than a home console. I seriously doubt they'd end up doing it. I still don't get why they decided to upgrade the 3DS. Hopefully it won't shut out owners of the original versions to a great extent.
