Well if someone is going to cry about it; lord help them. That's a bit on the extreme side. My point is; the minute it's "bad news" for Nintendo ~ everyone is suddenly quite fond of VGChartz. Other than that - it would've been the normal run-off-the-mill list of complaints.
Considering that everyone complains about VG Chartz; I find it quite interesting that so many people are swallowing this effortlessly.
I thought this would be for their new title? Didn't the development of NFS titles turn over to Ghost Games?
I've seen a lot of footage; and there's no framerate issues from what I can tell. It looks to be a pretty stable 30fps - which is what's to be expected from an open-world title.
This is pretty much the first Wii U game from Ubisoft (excluding Rayman Legends and Child of Light) that has a solid framerate. Both AC III and IV suffered from poor framerates, and Splinter Cell also had technical problems.
I'm impressed as to how good this looks on Wii U. The PS4 version looks better, but it's a very subtle difference; so much so, your average Joe might not even notice it. The biggest difference between the two is the lighting and shadows; both of w...
That's fine and dandy; but that price still has to drop. $60 for a 6+ month old game, is still quite absurd.
Nintendo has been one of the few true deliverers this year, along with several indie teams.
They actually spent time polishing and prepping their games properly; just look at the Metacritic scores compared to the several other "AAA" titles. I'm not trying to be a Nintendrone or whatever - it's just the facts.
Almost everything else was a product of pure hype and pretty ad-campaigns, only resulting in broken promises, underwhelming and cash-g...
Wow. That's deep...As to why they would slash the price that far down is mind-boggling. Getting rid of old stock to make space for new shipments is one thing; but that's the price of ONE GAME!
I own an equal amount of third-party and first-party titles for my Wii U.
About 90% of the console's third-party titles are half-baked in one way or another. Some were released too late, others are missing features, and then there are those that have technical problems. When you consider all those things; it's no wonder why people rather spend their money elsewhere.
I think Nintendo has spoiled their consumers by giving them games that are actually w...
They were the biggest third-party supporters in terms of quantity, sure - but when it comes down to quality ~ HECK, NO! Un-optimized, watered-down ports (with no DLC), and games delayed for insanely-lengthy periods for terrible reasons.
Ubisoft made their own bed, now they have to sleep in it. Even looking past what they've done with the U; they're burning everyone right now, releasing games unfinished games off of sheer hype.
In all honesty; 06 turned out how bad it did because it was a doomed title from the start. This seems to be following in it's footsteps.Sonic 06's dev-team was uninterested in the game, yet even so, they were being pressured by SEGA and Sony to have it ready for the PS3's launch.
I guess SEGA was pushing BRB to have it ready in time to go along with the TV-Show and to snag a spot in the holiday line-up.
Boom has some good ideas (like '06) - th...
Link has always had a serious face. Luigi's own is more piercing because he's usually either smiling or shaking in fear.
Luigi has the TRUE death stare!
The only real feud in these "console-wars" are the overly-emotional gamers who cling to their company of choice. I'm a Nintendo fan; but I don't parade around MS and Sony articles to express my hatred for them - because it doesn't exist, and even if it did, that'd be stupid.
The potshots the employees in these companies give each other is playful banter and nothing more. Yes they're competing, but not with guns and bombs.
Lol. Happens to all of us. I don't see why we're not allowed to undo likes/dislikes like on other sites.
Smash Bros. is one of Nintendo's biggest franchises; this isn't surprising. If this isn't a rocket boost - I don't know what is.
Having been a long time Sonic fan; this is rather disheartening. I've seen a playthrough on YouTube done by Cobermani456; and I gotta say - It looks really unfinished.
For a game that was built on CRYENGINE - it sure doesn't look like it. The graphics are sub-par - a complete letdown from the builds at E3 and PAX. Animations look to stiff and twitchy. It just doesn't flow. Gameplay isn't anywhere near the "Sonic" formula. It's pretty much you'...
The cherry-picking and out-of-proportion blowing is real here.
Basically what he's saying is that the industry lacks variation...And he's not too far off the mark. A lot of devs are playing it safe; releasing games that are quite similar to each other (Battlefield vs CoD, Forza vs Gran Turismo, for example) - and yearly releases (CoD, AC, Madden, Fifa, etc)
Compare the gaming world to then and now, and yes, the quality and variation bar has gone down ...
Nintendo is caught between a rock and a hard place. On one side; they can be exactly like Sony and MS, and on the other they can differentiate themselves.
I like the fact that they decide to be unique, but not at the expense of the industry down-playing them consistently for it. At the end of the day; I love the U. The second-screen has been a hit and miss. It both works and it doesn't work. On one side; menu navigation and internet browsing are awesome - even just simpl...
The software output has increased though. If they can hit the output of last year Summer-Winter or something close; that'd be good. Remember, starting with Game & Wario ~ Nintendo had at least one exclusive title release every month 'till the year's end.
They already confirmed that they're in the process of improving development times. Miyamoto confirmed that the teams have gained their footing with HD development - so now they can focus more on making th...
This drivel is painfully short; obviously showing that there was very little (if any) forethought put into it.
Ask MS and Sony how much money they're making off of the PS and XBOX brands. Both these sectors have been LOSING money for years, and even if they're selling more than Nintendo's products; Nintendo are still the only ones who are actually profiting off of their business in both hardware AND software. PS and XBOX make money in software, but not hardware. S...
