Yes. Let's compare the Wii U to a console that was discontinued incredibly early , and as a result, was put on clearance racks and sold for the same price as a single game today. Let's compare the Wii U to a console that literally made its parent company bankrupt, only for them to be saved by a single individual who paid out of pocket to fish them out of the hole.
Meanwhile; what's the Wii U doing? Oh yeah — making money: 3874d ago 6 agree4 disagreeView comment
Paradise is still my most favorite racing game ever! I have it on PC, but if I ever get an XBOX One, I'll definitely be picking this up. :D
Goodness. The amount of "whoa" I'm seeing in this comment thread is high; and this is N4G.
Let me present a question to you fine people. When, in any case in history, has an original Zelda game NOT been released on a Nintendo system, minus the Virtual Boy?
WHAT proof — and I mean even just a *little* — is there to justify the incredibly "interesting" notion that this game is being moved to NX? I mean, what Zelda game hasn't been ...
What?
Hyrule Warriors — which is simply a SPIN-OFF — sold 1+ million units.
Wind Waker HD — a REMAKE — sold 1+ million units.
If these two 'special' titles can sell over a million a units, then what on earth could be stopping the brand-new Zelda; the first home-console release since Skyward Sword in 2011, from doing the same, if not more?
If you're going to troll, at least try and make *some* sense.
Because that's what the majority of remasters this gen have been of; games from the 7th gen. You have some exceptions like Wind Waker HD, Rare Replay and The Master Chief Collection, but those make up the minority.
Well it should, unless the whole VR thing really does take off. Then you remake old games with the new special effects.
But other than that, it doesn't make much sense to make HD games more HD-er at this point.
No, that would be a really stupid move
Remember what happened when SEGA kept releasing new hardware? Do we really need to repeat that?
No sir.
We already know of a FEW Wii U titles that are coming next year. Combine that with Nintendo's CONTINUOUS record of having AT LEAST 5 years between home console launches, and a 2017 release makes more sense.
Honestly, do you really think that releasing a new system in the middle of a generation makes sense? Other than the Nintendo faithfuls, who's going to buy it? People are already cemented with their PS4s, XBOX One's and/or PCs. So then, ...
Even if it is a hybrid, who says the mobile unit will be tied to the console? If anything, it might fall along similar lines to that of the PS4/Vita; and unlike Sony, you know Nintendo loves their handhelds.
I can see this thing being more on the Remote Play-like side, so hopefully the architecture will be very similar across the home-based hub and the handheld.
I will admit that made me chuckle. +1 dude.
The 3DS has been out since 2011. It's now 2015, and there isn't an emulator.
Wow.
I'm not one to throw words at people; but that was honestly one of the most asinine things I've ever read, and that's saying a lot considering this is N4G.
I just bought a 500GB external hard drive about a month ago. Have yet to make a DENT in the thing, and I even forget its there, lol.
You enjoy the library of a console, but not the console.
Hm; considering it's a GAME console, and you like it's GAMES, wouldn't that mean you like the console, by extension?
The Internet, folks — just keeps getting better.
And your reasoning for this is supported by WHAT proof exactly? Other than the nonsensical speculation about the NX — a system we know NOTHING about.
The console does upscale to 1080p
Read the article.
Nintendo marketed the heck out of this through the summer in a bunch of different regions.
They were really determined to give it the best opening charge possible.
Pardon?
Both ZombiU and Lost World had the same issue — they were controversial.
Some liked it and others didn't like it; and that applies to both critics and users.
I'm all for it having unique features; as long as they build it in a way that third-parties can finally shut up about it not fitting their needs.
