From what I could see, the interior shots are pretty identical, but on the outside is where the difference can be seen. It's certainly noticeable, but, they still look quite close.

In all honesty, I can never understand why people insist on comparing consoles to PCs. Of course the PC version at the highest settings will always outpace a console version which is locked due to the cemented specs.

It should be interesting to see if the next person to fill the position will probably be more aggressive with trying to get third-party support on the home console front.

It doesn't need to be saved anymore. Ever since late 2013, the console has been on a gradual uptick. It will be Nintendo's lowest selling home system (sans Virtual Boy), but that's by comparison.

Nintendo has still made profit where it ALWAYS matters; software. The Wii U just got its second best month on record for software sales. Say what you want, but the games are there and people have most certainly been buying them.

Right now, Nintendo needs...

I think Activision has more to do with that. PG obviously has a good relationship with Nintendo, so it would make sense if they were self-publishing, but Activision looks like they don't want to do anything with Nintendo other than Skylanders.

Excuse me? Xenoblade doesn't have a realistic art style? How on earth do this - http://images.eurogamer.net... and this - http://www.nintendoworldrep... — fall in the same category?

The artistic style Nintendo uses works a whole lot better than the realistic look th...

In the months leading up to the Wii U's release, a lot of developers were "excited" about it. Can't blame Nintendo fans for that.

3785d ago 8 agree3 disagreeView comment

Eh, no.

The Wii U just doesn't operate the same way the 360 and PS3 do, but developers were trying to code for it as if it did. Thus the reason why so many of them had "trouble"; simply because they just kept trying to take the easier route.

The Wii U is much more capable than the 7th-gen systems; it can actually render games in native HD, not sub-HD like most games on the 360/PS3. It's CPU is just a lot slower, but its GPU is much more pow...

@OzzY-waZZy & GordonKnight

No one fanboy is better than the next. A fanboy of anything/anyone is incredibly biased, thus the display of total veneration towards said person/thing.

With that being said, whether someone is a Sony-Pony, XBot or Nintendrone; they all make their fanbases look bad, just like any other fandom (iOS vs. Android, for example)

Well Nintendo prides themselves on achieving smooth framerates. If I remember correctly, the only Nintendo developed games on the Wii U that doesn't run at 60 frames is Wind Waker HD and Xenoblade Chronicles X; and both of those are LOCKED at 30.

You really don't notice it. Wii games look heavenly on it, and even the prettier titles on Wii U like FAST Racing Neo, MK8 and Xenoblade Chronicles X don't really lose their visual flare.

That is, as far as I can see. I have a 1080p 56-inch TV and it really doesn't bother me to swap between the two displays.

They did not start talking about the NX last year.

They announced its existence and gave vague statements on their vision for it. That's it.

If you call those details, then you must buy anything with the phrase "must have" on it.

Not mind-blowing, but it's still a pretty great game.

Before the trolls come in with "Hah! Only 13!"
These are referring to major titles that have been announced.

As it relates to "all" titles; there are literal hundreds.

I don't know why people keep using Twilight Princess as a point of reference. It's annoying and unwarranted.

The Wii and Gamecube were VERY close to each other, tech-wise. Really, making Wii games was roughly the same as making a game on the Gamecube, minus the motion controls of course. With that said, it was easy to port Twilight Princess in time for the Wii's launch.

One glaring point to mention is Skyward Sword, actually. It came out at the ...

Yeeeaahhhhh - NOPE.

People keep using Twilight Princess as a point of reference: did you forget that the GC had Wind Waker?

The Wii U doesn't have its own original Zelda game yet; oh look, here it is! TP dual releasing on the Wii and GC made sense because the systems were very close spec wise, and Nintendo needed a big game to launch their new system since Mario wasn't present.

I don't really agree with this theory simply becaus...

SEGA isn't really a good example. The quality of their games dropped severely after they went third-party, not to mention they have IPs which they've literally abandoned for eons.

People buy Nintendo systems to get access to Nintendo's IPs; they're in a class all of their own. If non-Nintendo fans were *really* interested in the games, they'd buy the consoles. Having Mario or Zelda on the PS4 doesn't guarantee high sales; they don't fit in with the...

Sony and MS already have to pay off these various development studios in order to stay on top of one another. For Nintendo to come back to the days of the NES/SNES, they'll have to speak the language of the industry.

Even if their next system is really powerful and a breeze to develop for, there's no way third-parties are just going to happily make their way back. Nintendo's IPs are considered competition to them, something that Sony/MS don't really have to w...

Some qualms I have with this article:

- It HAS NOT been confirmed to be coming out this year.
- Nintendo going third-party is an absurd idea.
- Zero proofreading was done to this as it has many spelling errors...

I can't wholeheartedly agree with this article. The way I see it is this: the NX needs to be the start of Nintendo at least getting into sync with core parts of the industry. Even if it doesn't end up selling like wildfire, ...

I definitely agree. Pokken Tournament, Twilight Princess HD, Zelda U, Star Fox Zero, even a potential release of Pikmin 4; just going by what we know about, this is a pretty strong year.

I know the NX's release is near, and that'll have some gamers distracted, but going by the new President's recent comments about wanting to continue support for the console, I think Nintendo is aware that it would be REALLY DUMB to piss off their remaining fanbase.

Nintendo had a pretty interesting year. With the new President, I'm very excited to see how they continue to progress.
