Read the article.
Reggie said that they had footage to show us at the last E3, but they withheld it. While he didn't give a reason as to exactly why, my guess is because they didn't want to tease fans further.
We've already seen gamers complain about companies who keep talking about a game, but take forever to release it (Ubisoft and Watch Dogs). So I guess Nintendo decided it was best to say as little as possible until it was time.
I'm not surprised it got...
Hah! Nice try, but, no.
Gotta say that this was an EXCELLENT article. It's not just N4G, but a lot of gaming sites, even some that are pro-Nintendo, have a considerably large amount of people who you would honestly think go to bed every night just ITCHING to wake up to the news that Nintendo is no more.
It's honestly ridiculous. Nintendo has spent the last 30 years doing their thing, and sitting back making the green. Meanwhile the majority of their doubters, except the ones who do it prof...
So why didn't Skyward Sword come out on the Wii U if it was so close to the console's release, and it would have been relatively easy to port? Not to mention the console had delayed launch titles, so that could have helped fill the gap.
Seriously people, things aren't as black and white as they seem. Zelda U was built FOR the Wii U, so unless the NX is somewhat similar, I doubt it will make the jump.
This reminds me of that big Rayman in Smash 4 leak. Seriously, technology has hit an incredibly high level of advancement. Unless it's coming from the companies themselves, (especially with very strict NDAs) there's pretty much a 99.5% chance that any leak is fake.
I don't know how the blind hate started or where it came from, but N4G is Nintendoom Central.
Great article! The writer obviously wanted to flex his vocabulary muscles, but even so, this piece was spot on!
I've had the system since December of 2012, so I've seen it through its darkest days and was there to witness firsthand its slow rise. I don't regret picking it up, regardless of how many Nintendoomers want to see it gone and forgotten. Tell that to my 100+ hours in Lego City, near 200 hours in Splatoon, over 80 hours in NFS: Most Wanted U, 40 hours in...
I'm not sure of Nikkei's record, but if this is true, then I'm speechless.
4 years out of the regular 5 isn't bad, but still quite surprising. Just have to wait and see.
I like nice visuals as much as the next guy, but come on guys. The game looks really good — exactly how much does it matter what resolution it is? Are you literally going to be sitting 12 inches from your screen, as if it's a phone or tablet?
"Gamers", oh please. I don't even own an XBOX One, but this game looks pretty cool, and even after finding about its resolution, I'm still very satisfied with its visual quality.
In all fairness, it's a joint-blame between SEGA and Big Red Button. It's Big Red Button's fault for trying to "spin" the formula, and it's SEGA's fault for simply hurrying them along to get the game out on shelves. Just like Sonic 06, if the developers were given the proper time, then perhaps it could have been a decent game.
It was common knowledge that it wouldn't be as advanced as the Oculus or HTC Vive, so it was only natural to assume that it would cost less than them.
The damage control in this article just shows the bias that this community has. The article was about how many critically-acclaimed exclusives the Wii U has over the XBOX One and PS4. But of course, you people can't go without spinning it, right?
"Only because of Mario." "And what about third party games?!" "Who cares? Those games are for children."
Excuses, excuses, and --ignorant-- excuses. I really hope the lot of you ...
What exactly is a "hardcore game"? If it's anything that has a T or M rating, then I guess the preteens that run rampant on CoD and GTA Online must be hardcore too, right? DKC: Tropical Freeze and Super Luigi U have been considered to be some of the hardest platformers ever. Bayonetta 2 and The Wonderful 101 are also very difficult. If adults can't beat some levels, then what about kids?
A "hardcore" game should be defined as a title that require...
You sure?
Splatoon
Pokken Tournament
Bayonetta 2
The Wonderful 101
Wii Party U
Wii Fit U
Wii Sports Club
Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate
Devil's Third
Nintendo Land
Pikmin 3
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse
Wind Waker HD
Twilight Princess HD
Zelda U
StarFox Zero
Starfox Guard

They've been doing just fine without them for over 2 decades. Would third-party support be appreciated? Of course! However, they've still been able to make a profit with just their own IPs.
Haptic feedback is what's being used in controllers and even mobile phones; you press something on the screen (like typing on the keyboard) and the device then vibrates.
AR is short for Augmented Reality. Not to be confused with VR, augmented reality is the form of displaying virtual models on/in real life surfaces: like the 3DS' AR cards, or Microsoft's HoloLens.
Very true, Hoffmann.
As a writer for a pro-Nintendo site (Nintendo Enthusiast), I can say that we're one of the few who try and balance it out; we don't white knight for Nintendo, but nor do we try and pummel them in the ground like most others. Case-in-point, we give the both credit and criticism, equally.
I'm not sure where the negativity against Nintendo started, but people sure do love it for some reason.
I doubt that they're going to take it to that degree. Perhaps it'll be more of a hybrid? Who knows? Not sure why I have so many disagrees — I'm just taking a guess here. We'll see in a few weeks.
You missed the whole point of what the article was about, simply because you only read the title. Gotta love the folks here at good ol' N4G. /s
