So basically he's saying that it's going to be more like Western titles...That's actually REALLY cool!
Currently playing a review copy of the title. I can tell you that while that is a pretty limited amount, it's kind of needed. Unlike a typical Pokemon game, you're not going to find yourself swapping between characters often.
Each Pokemon in Pokken fights VERY differently from each other. They're pretty much their own character through-and-through. So the limited roster gives you a chance to find one (or two) that suits you, and build up a solid play-style with...
You don't know how long that's gonna take though. I'd pick it up now if I were you; I got in September of last year and I've put close to 100 hours in.
Currently writing a review for this game (I work for Nintendo Enthusiast and got a review copy) — Anyone who's a Pokemon fan, or just a fan of fighting games, I can definitely say be sure to check it out. :)
I agree. Nintendo is going to need to start speaking their language—money.
Even if the NX is the most powerful, yet simple console ever, that still won't sway third-parties. They rake in too much dough from PS and XBOX as it is.
Nintendo has almost always talked about Zelda exclusively at big events like E3. They claim they didn't show it off at last year's E3 pretty much because they didn't want to tease fans, since they knew it wouldn't be ready anytime soon.
We'll see in 3 months — calm down.
True, HORI did make this. But this controller (according to the description) was made to emulate the controls from this game's arcade unit. It was custom-built for this game only, so it's for those who want the arcade-feel in the form of a controller. Not to mention it's wired (so no "input lag).
Yes, but there are exceptions to the rule. I mean come on, Nintendo brought back the Gamecube controller just for Smash. That's deep, lol.
It's a Pokemon game. What else do you expect it to be on except Wii U or 3DS?
If the NX releases next year, then it won't be too soon. Nintendo home consoles have ALWAYS lasted 5 years, and in the Wii's case, 6.
Nintendo revealed quite some time ago that they start Research and Development on a new system right after they launch one. All companies do this. How do you think Samsung, Apple, and LG (among others), can bring out new phones and tablets every year?
These things take A LOT OF TIME to develop, so their creators are always thinking of the future.
No. A product only counts as a "commercial failure" when it creates a massive loss for its company. Wii U started generating profits over 2 years ago, and its software sales have done extremely well, as said by Nintendo themselves.
Just because it hasn't sold as well as its competitors, doesn't make it a failure. You want failures? The Apple Pippin, 32X, SEGA CD, SEGA Saturn, Nintendo 64 DD and Virtual Boy are all MUCH better examples.
It's been over 3 years now and sites are still relying on doom-and-gloom for clicks, not to mention the fact that this site in particular loves to spread out articles over multiple pages to increase click-counts.
The only "failure" here is that this counts as 'journalism'.
I agree.
Gaming is an expensive hobby in terms of bulk (consoles, games, controllers, other fees) - but in terms of value it's pretty cheap.
Most bundles include 2 games for free, and are as low as $300. If that's not enough, then either you're REALLY cheap, or just don't want one.
You mean the Wii or Wii U?
It's an option, not a necessity. I'm not saying it wouldn't have been nice to have, but I don't know many people who even make use of an Ethernet connection on a console. I'm not saying NOBODY does, but once again, this is definitely something more on the optional side.
Besides, is $10 for an Ethernet adapter gonna kill you?
According to the rumor, EA wanted to control Nintendo's online system and power it through Origin, so basically all online interactions would have had to go through EA. Nintendo did the smart thing and said "Hell no!"
Although it's never been confirmed, considering EA's attitude post 2012, I can't help but believe it.
What? So when did the PS3 sell 103 million? Oh wait...
What? He said things are progressing WELL. How does that equate to another delay?
