So SmartGlass wasn't a thing?
What about the second screen fuctions of the PS Vita x PS3?
Try again.
Two of their SIX consoles were underpowered. And even then, those systems are still more powerful than the consoles in the generation prior.
Try again.
Seems like those hybrid rumors that don't seem to want to go away may be true. Just a hunch.
I'm amped to see what it is. Nintendo has been stating that the NX is 'different' for a while now. There's no need to have three identical systems, seriously people. Whatever idea that the company has, I just hope it's something that will get people to quit whining and instead leave them actually feeling excited.
The Vive requires you to walk around.

Clearing space is a necessity for the Vive.

I haven't tried any fully-fledged gaming VR headsets, but I have tried both Samsung Gear VR and Google Cardboard. It's a fun distraction, but not worth the investment IMO.
I'm not speaking for anyone else but myself—to each his own.
Yeah, no. I'm not spending that kind of money lol.
I have yet to see a VR game that truly excites me, and even if there was, if there was a 'standard' version, I'd still end up taking that.
VR just seems like a rich-kid's play thing right now. Still waiting to see if it has any standing power like analogue sticks, rumble and wireless controllers. Those were all 'new advances in technology' at one point, but they stuck around for the long...
It's the 25th anniversary of the series this year, so naturally, it will be releasing this year.
@OmnislashVer36:
When since has there been anything for an anniversary that's released before/after the anniversary? Do couples not celebrate their anniversary every year on the day they were wed?
Skyward Sword - 25th anniversary game for Zelda, released in 2011, 25 years after the release of the original anniversary.
Super Mario Mak...
"What's the point of buying an Xbox One now?"
^The majority of the comments that I have been seeing.
"Motion controls" were the future a few years ago too. It's only now being brought back because of VR.
Considering this game is just slightly smaller than that of Xenoblade Chronicles X, the game looks quite beautiful. Easily one of the best-looking games on Wii U, and just a good looking game overall.
Again, I'm waiting to hear the talks of prices. The PS4 launched at $400. The XBO would have likely been the same had the Kinect not been "mandatory" in the beginning. That being said, I HIGHLY doubt the Neo or Scorpio is going to cost less than $600...
Xenoblade Chronicles X was 154.44 square miles. 360 square kilometers = 139 square miles.
So XCX is just slightly bigger than Zelda. Wow!
Exactly. My only guess is that the Scorpio/Neo will only display games in 4K, but definitely not render them in that resolution.
Personally, I have nothing against choice but I do agree with NatureofLogic.
This is pretty much fragmentation; nothing like this has ever really happened in the console space before. And frankly, I'm not sure it's really even going to be successful. There are 20+ million XBO owners and 40+ million PS4 owners. That's over 60 million units that are now considered "basic". For those who got those systems within the last year, I know they must be upset.
The conference's flow was nice, but I'm still iffy about the announcement of the Scorpio. I just don't know how this approach is going to work out; comes off as being similar to what SEGA did in the 90s, but instead of add-ons, we're now dealing with three vastly different versions of the same system. Actually, I don't even know if it's fair to call the Scorpio the same system...
Dang, I wish I had money to blow, like you. That just seems like an unnecessary investment, IMO...
You mean the system we know nothing about?
The price of this thing MUST be high. There's NO possible way this is going to be less than $600...and that's me being generous.
I'm seriously excited for this. That trailer was dope. If my new laptop can run this, I'll be elated. :D
Man, the amount of salt here is so high that the Pacific Ocean is impressed.
Nintendo is no stranger to having its ideas copied. Kinect, Move, SmartGlass, PS Vita x PS3...those are all just recent examples. What about how the layout of Xbox controllers has always pretty much been a slightly altered Gamecube controller? That's a small example, but still worth mentioning.
Whatever Nintendo is working on, it wants to keep the idea as close to its chest ...
