I always thought the burnt face guy was Volgin...
Sweet. I was worried I mightn't get to play this since my laptop's pretty outdated at this point. Fingers crossed for Ps4.
This has all already been completely debunked. PCGamer have a feature on DotA in their next issue, so they had to pay Valve a visit. As a joke - because they always put joke pages at the end of each issue - and as a reference to their time spent with Valve, they put in a Half Life 3 / Valve Office spoof.
The Korean was literally just a language update, and Marc Laidlaw clarified this promising in future that any patch notes would be much more "verbose" in insisting ...

She originally looked absolutely identical to her, and imo what they settled on, while it doesn't look exactly like her anymore, remains sort of similar. Her character is totally like a character Ellen Page would play too.
I mean I know Ellen Page is a reasonably high-profile actor and celebrity, but at the same time, it's a little bit disturbing when a group of people just use your likeness without permission, and also create a character that sort of behaves like you...
What bothers me about this game is the frequent cheesy dialogue and the White Anglo-Saxon male Murican' protagonist. Does this game make any effort whatsoever to deconstruct that protagonist? If not, keep it away from me.
Garbage review though. The Polygon one actually makes a lot of good points, but I know I'm in a minority thinking that.
Some of the comments I'm seeing here. This game seems like it's really bounced back!
I might (and that's a big 'might' because I'm pretty averse to mmos) play this if and when I can get a job and some money. Busy in college at the moment, not that anyone asked.
I really hope the Vita gets more support. So much potential and they're just squandering it.
The xbox controller looks so cheaply made. The DS4 looks really robust and firm. You can really tell a lot more consideration and thought went into the DS4.
Dynasty Warriors 1 was a ps1 game, and played like Tekken or something. All subsequent games up until like 6 were on the ps2 and played like this game (DW8) does. 7 was on the Ps3 and Xbox360, as 8 will be.
Unless you're thinking of the Dynasty Warriors Empires expansions. They were all on the Ps2, and I think 6 got one too. I've never actually played any of them.
Seems too similar to 7. Same weapons, slightly modified character models. I honestly prefer to buy every 3rd or 4th DW game that comes out, there's big enough of a difference between them. I bought 2, then bought 3 because I loved 2, but I didn't bother with 4, 5, or 6, because 4 and 5 were just too similar to each other and to 3, and 6 went in a direction that seemed bad to me. 7 looked like a proper next-gen DW game so I got it and enjoyed it a lot. This game looks like a 7 expansio...
You're right with that last point, and certainly if I got Plus to play online, I wouldn't bother with all those Plus deals, no matter how enticing they were. Of course one does not equal the other. However that won't be the same for lots of other people. Lots of people who want to play CoD won't be able to believe their luck when they what Plus has to offer, and before long, ignorant to the 'catch', they and millions of others will be making the most of that service. ...
You still have a choice, you're absolutely right. How long until physical copies become obsolete though?
Should we be buying into licencing because of the fact that its being presented in a more "palatable" manner? How long before enticing things like this override the "choice" that we think we have? Do you want short term entertainment or do you want consumer rights and consumer choice? (surrendering the latter has a lot of negative ramifications that...
Going full digital = the end of ownership and a unshakable source of profit for these corporations via mandatory licence renewal.
Having to pay for online by purchasing a Plus account = Sony pulling a sneaky version of the X1. People who want to play online (and there will be many) will sign up for Plus, and many will start to use the service to get the most out of it. Digital downloads through Plus will soar. Actual tangible ownership will become a thing of the past. The cor...
Even if this game falls under expectations, I'm willing to bet it will still be awesome.
I really hope Kojima isn't on the cusp of losing the plot.
First Kiefer Sutherland, then clearly getting paid by MS at e3, and now praising the Xbox One...
Urrrrrrgh. He's a good voice actor but game companies and developers need to take more risks - scout new talent. Shit's just becoming homogenous.
Oh man I really hope they have something to announce for Zero Escape 3. I literally google it everyday in case something new has cropped up.
Yeah it wouldn't be much of a 'surprise' if they just released more info on XV.
A release date however...
In 4 Solid Snake had never met Big Boss until the end. Also, Big Boss is still alive in 4, so there'll be no "killing" of him, especially not by Solid Snake.
Zero and Burnt-Volgin will both be primary antagonists.
