That's a bit annoying tbh. I bet it's just going to get used for all that stupid extra stuff like maps and whatnot - like they've been using smartphones and tablets for.
I'd much prefer that it was a console in its own right. Just because the tech isn't conducive to juvenile performance-boners and bleed-out-your-eyes graphics doesn't mean there can't be excellent games on it.
Some of my all time favourite games are still SNES games...
Acquired tastes are the best kind. Why should they settle into what's popular? What the lazy masses want? I like that they're pushing unusual stuff like this.
Wind Waker's awesome anyhow.
Oh man how did I overlook Everyone's gone to the Rapture? That game looks and sounds incredible. Dear Esther was amazing.
The "surprise" thing is part of the paragraph describing the KH conference thing on the second day. I don't know if that means it'll be KH related...
If not, here's hoping for an XI Vita port, and an Agito / Type-0 port.
XV isn't mentioned on it...
Of course it flippin is!
I don't know that Demon's Souls and Dark Souls constitute a significant 'trend'. They're pretty niche games... Like they're straight up for hardcore gamers.
People are definitely jumping on this and overreacting. The game definitely won't have the difficulty level of Dark Souls. It'll probably be more challenging than XIII and XIII-2 because of the item and time management aspects, but it certainly won't be as severe as Dark Souls.
They're giving us XV, they're giving us KH3, not to mention this game which seems pretty good, and has been receiving pretty positive hands-ons and previews. What more do you want? ...
Cliffy B is such a cold-hearted capitalist. GTFO.
Oh wait he already did... STOP TALKING THEN!
Good points. This is just big corporations trying to co-opt Indies, not helping them out.
They're trying to outmode the Ps3 so we all have to buy ps4s!!
I don't think they'll back out after how successful the DS was. The only thing they need right now is good games, and lots of them, for both the 3ds and the Wii U, then they'll be laughing. I suppose that might be a tall order though...
There's only one thing that bothers me about the trailer, and that's how much sympathy it tries to evoke for the real upper-class monarchical characters.
It's almost saying "oh care for the rich powerful people! Caaare!".
Just the shot of Noctis looking grumpy in his chaffeured car, and the tender family moment at the dinner table that one of the dudes in this article says is "a quick and very sad reflection on positions of power an...
Errrrr, definitely wouldn't go THAT far, but it'll definitely be awesome.
Well that's confirmation if I ever saw it.
But I mean, I don't think there's any doubt that Valve are working on SOMETHING HL related. It's really just a question of when they show it to us.
I do have a feeling they're struggling with it a bit- possibly because they're trying to make an even bigger impact than HL2 did. That whole 'Ricochet 2' interview sort suggests they might be struggling to come up with a way to make this ha...
lol Fifa 14. Out with a bang. Nah, I think Persona 4 was the last great Ps2 game. That game marked the end of the Ps2.
It's only 49+ square miles? Just Cause 2 is 400 square miles...
I'm looking forward to them both for different reasons. They both offer things the other doesn't have, and I'm not gonna choose between them.
Ah well, they had a good run. Spyro 1 through 3 are still some of my favourite games of all time, and I had a blast with R&C. I have happy memories of both those series' and I'll definitely play them all again someday, but I guess it's time for me personally to stick a fork in them.
They've clearly lost their integrity. Bought by EA, Fuse, a Ratchet & Clank movie that makes fun of dubstep in the teaser and then at the end uses it earnestly, and now an...
Why don't you want to be challenged? People want and like CoD, so they get CoD. They get the same game year in year out. That's the result of the approach you're describing. Creative stagnation and profiteering off of lazy consumer conservatism.
Besides, these things are luxuries. We're not owed them.
