The reason Nomura's including this is because XV is part of a saga of games. In order to keep people interested while they wait for the next games, he wants to include a multiplayer component which will keep them playing long after they've 100 percented the single player. It makes sense, but it really depends on how long we're going to have to wait for XV-2. If it's something like 6-7 years (hope not), include the multiplayer. If it's something like 2-3 years, don't bo...
The spin-offs are all excellent games, but releasing them on loads of different handhelds was a bad move. A lot of people think the story sucks purely because they didn't play those spin-offs, and that isn't exactly their fault. I'm lucky enough to have played every one so far, and I'm eagerly anticipating III. That's not the case for everyone.
They could easily add a retrospective thing in III, but I don't think it could amount to the same experience ...
The only reason Nintendo aren't doing so good is because gamers are obsessed with juvenile things like tech and hyper-realistic graphics, not unique and enjoyable experiences. There's also a lot of ugly assumptions that Nintendo games are somehow 'childish' when in reality they can be played and enjoyed by a person of any age. Just because they aren't male power fantasies doesn't make them any less as videogames. Nintendo games are better than most of the crap out ther...
Aahhh I was trying to remember who that keyblade belonged to!
I'm hoping we get to go to the world of darkness to rescue Aqua... That place looks so cool
Obviously because of all the benefits from PS Plus. You get tons of free games, (that of course have a limited licence, but you're certainly given more than enough time to play them many times over) and loads of massive discounts. Not to mention the subscription itself is super cheap.
However, with PS Plus, Sony are kind of committing the same crime as microsoft. Microsoft need always on drm and 24 hour checks because they've enabled disc based games to be fully insta...
Can't wait for this.
Yeah I think review scores need to go. People have too many assumptions built around certain scores and often those colour how they understand a review, or worse, they don't even read the review because they see a big 7.5 emblazoned on the article.
In both cases, finer points and nuances about a review can go overlooked and gamers can continue to live in their own heads without considering the views and perspectives of others, from which we can often learn a lot. The prac...
Haha, alright...
Seriously though, I for one enjoyed the spin-offs. I like a good convoluted story so long as it isn't convoluted for the sake of it. I think Nomura really has something to say with this series.
Also I'm pretty sure Kingdom Hearts III won't be the end of Kingdom Hearts, just the end of the 'Xehanort Saga', or so Nomura has said. So I'm sure we can expect more in the distant future.
Liked the previous two. Definitely going to get this one.
I appreciate risk taking in the games industry. It says to me that a developer isn't just interested in feeding into conventional ideas of videogames and in this case rpgs for the sake of turning a profit, which is such a dispassionate and cynical attitude. People's assumptions need to be challenged. Sure there's plenty of entertainment out there if you just want to be lazy and passive, but every now and th...
I wonder if some of this stuff would shed light on whether or not Sony had original intended to have much stricter policies before they saw the backlash towards MS?
Yeah... I don't buy this. Ps4's good and all, but it's in his best interest as a capitalist to say stuff like this- to cultivate a persona like this.
Tetsuya Nomura makes great games but boy does he have a woeful taste in films...
Such a clever game. Wonder if Miyamoto's jelly...?
360degrees's comment reads like it was written by some sort of robot, or an xbot if you will... lol
Interesting read. Makes a ton of sense though.
Count me in. Type-0 port or HD version!
Or maybe even a VII remake in the manner I describe here: http://n4g.com/user/blogpos...
I wouldn't be inclined to regard either of their opinions. They can't even do their own medium right.
Fine by me. Most AAA games effing suck anyway.
Fine by me. Better than MS making it mandatory AND always on so it can flippin spy on you. (That NSA controversy makes the Kinect even more suspicious).
I know... It does all make sense though if you can wrap your head around it, and I'm pretty sure it's not just convoluted for the sake of it- it's got something to say. It's for these reasons that I'd defend it and claim that the only thing wrong with the franchise is how difficult it has been to keep up with it when it gets released on so many different consoles.
