They blew their chances with a new L4D. The games have looked like junk ever since the leaked screenshots of the remade plantation level running on Source 2 engine.
Yea graphics aren't everything, but mechanically and gameplay wise the games are not perfect by any means. Had they released a new game in 2015 or something it would've looked really impressive for the time, now Source 2 still looks pretty nice but it doesn't have the same impact.

Seemed like a half assed release before this news anyway, but would Sega even admit the reason for different music if it's true? Maybe they'll give some dumb excuse for having different music rather than telling us the truth.
Or they'll just replace the music with no explanation.
PC giving a decent bump over consoles in visuals and frame rate here, PS5 only giving 30fps with RT in quality mode, Interested to see how much better next gen GPUs will be in a few months.
My favorite engine so far is Source 2, still waiting on S&box to release for some of that goodness.
UE5 looks nice but I hope it runs well. At least next gen GPUs are just around the corner which should run games on it really well.

Well consoles are usually late to the party with technology, they were with online multiplayer where even turn based games like Worms 2/Armageddon worked well via dialup in the 90's. And they were late with SSDs where even though PC games weren't coded to take advantage of them, they still loaded you a lot quicker into maps and online multiplayer matches. PC had those 2009.
PC has also had high hz screens since like 2012 or whatever.. so yea.
Even 90fps is noticeably smoother than 60fps, 60 is almost 17ms response and going up just 30fps more brings you down to 11ms. Been high hz gaming since 2012 and wouldn't go back to 60hz, later last year i went 4k high hz too.

Sorry but this is just fanboy level nonsense, #1 you don't know what Quest 3, or other headsets will be like yet.
#2 a 3080 or equivalent GPU is already more powerful than PS5, a 4080 would add at least another 40% on top of that ...
The Quest 2 can also use the power of your PC, and with next gen GPUs launching in just a few months they'll be leagues ahead of the PS5.
I would also expect a Quest 3 probably next year.
It sucks, and no Master System games either.. either way tho still the same games as before, lame. They could have at least added something new. You can play them all free via emulators.
Next gen CPUs and GPUs are just a few months away, the RTX 4080 should be beastly for this.
Also I believe it's not fully optimized on PC yet either.
Quest 2 already did that.. and has the bonus of being able to be tethered to your PC for the extra power.
Tbf anime stuff is mostly very adult so it's obvious why it gets censored. Likely cuz bad parents buying their kids adult games
They didn't even finish working on a new L4D. They gave up because the Source 2 engine wasn't finished and it couldn't handle the things they tried (it was buggy at the time) so left it instead of fixing the issues. It's a shame because those leaked screens of the plantation level back in 2014 looked amazing. L4D1&2 have looked very dated since then.

Agreed, the score of 8 and saying "Far from great" is hypocritical, it could just be the usual score trolls trying to raise the bar. AFAIK i always classed 7 as good, i used to think 5 was average because it's right in the middle, but supposedly average is 6.
