If you use a keyboard and mouse and have those quicker movements for turns, it really feels like sludge at 30fps on PC. Part of the reason consoles can get away with lower frame rates is because of a controller, it has slower camera movement so <60fps isn't as bad.
In an ideal world tho 90+fps is the super smooth sweet spot both visually and for input latency.. For basically almost any game.
I think I had the demo on the original ps1 demo disc, interested to see how it looks.
I see a lot of angry comments, want performance? Get a decent PC. Then as long as the game isn't made like shit you can enjoy way above 60fps for that super smooth goodness. Sorted.
You pay for the high performance, and if you only use a PC to game on then that's up to you, plenty of other things you can do with them if it interests you.
This always happens on consoles after a couple/few years if they push the graphics even higher on new games.
You feel the same on PC that you want high frames too, play at 120fps or higher and then drop, you can feel and see the difference even if you have a dip down to 70 or so. A consistent 60 is good but a consistent 90 or so is the sweet spot if you want super smoothness.
One of those games where kb & mouse makes a big difference.
Hopefully it's not an easy game. If the bosses are pushovers it would be a shame tbh, I thought the Sonic Rush games were pretty well balanced difficulty wise.
Gabe Newell is not a fan of consoles
Yeah this actually does look decent.
How could they not include Asterix? Should be in the top 10 minimum, nevermind 20.
PC had far faster storage drives before PS4 even came out though.
If they abandon it then they will get much less sales, people with decent computers will want one to stream wirelessly or link up by cable. It would be a big mistake to abandon PCVR, especially when we might get a much better new generation of GPUs in terms of price & performance next year.
The complaint of it being too easy though is valid, I understand some like easy games but if it's all the way through it would be really boring IMO, the first level? Sure, not the whole game.
But since it's following the film so closely this is the reason why Robocop is OP, they could get around this problem by adding in more variety of enemies or straying a little from the films.
DF will quickly find out, I bet there will be a small amount of lag at worst even on a slower SSD when loading the parts that take advantage of the PS5 SSD.
Well phone makers are doing the same thing, hardly any new phones with an SD card slot.
Britain is one of them.. Oppressive 100% against freedom of speech. Being locked up for hurting someone's feelings with words is also 100% BS, especially when others can freely insult or even threaten you (online) from other countries.
Higher resolution, not greatly but Quest 2 was already good enough, and better lenses, more compact. Will be interesting how much both changes improve clarity, probably more than you might expect.
That's good I guess, I wonder if there's any unused voice lines they can include as well, or are they going with 1:1 voice/story with some change to the environment here and there?
You guys against PC keep contradicting, I thought they wanted a machine only for gaming as that's all they're interested in and at a price point which consoles meet, a PC isn't cheap enough as they keep moaning about price usually.
This will be good.. now I hope that it's a decent challenge.
