Worms 2 was a blessing when I was on 56k dialup in 1999 for multiplayer gaming, it was almost the only game I could play smoothly online due to it being turn based. Not only that but it was a fun game to play with all the customisation options, online rope races etc..
More realistic graphics is fine for certain games, for the gameplay itself though? It can make the game more boring.
As for violence we all know parents are gonna let their kids play adult games no matter how realistic they look, goalposts shifted again from when they used to say they don't look realistic, to saying they're not real. Basically any excuse to let a game babysit their kid for them.
I dunno, I thought it looked too samey at first but the wonder part that changes the levels and stuff makes it different enough I think.
Steam is making Gabe a fortune, and besides Gabe has stated multiple times he's not a fan of closed environment consoles. I doubt he'd be interested in selling up so I think there's little to worry about.
It does not make up for having noticeably weaker hardware. PS5 & Series X are having some trouble running a new UE5 title dude. DF demonstrated the fps & resolution of both consoles, both upscaling from 720p and having frame dips into the 40fps range and below on PS5, bit better on Series X but both are not ideal. Yeah IF they managed to own them. Looks like they are after Valve too, I mean Gabe is rich with Steam.. There's no way they'll allow themselves to be taken by MS surely?

It's going to have a bit of a rough time with next gen third party games. The current gen machines are already having trouble with UE5 upscaling from 720p and still having fairly big FPS dips here and there.
I'd rather devs work with the hardware limitations to make sure games run at least a fairly solid 60fps, like by downgrading textures etc.. Instead of pushing the consoles beyond what they're capable of like they do now with a locked 30fps or 60 with big dip...
Yeah this was a good game. If I had to make any minor complaints it would be that the game could've done with more missions and the world being a bit more open, and add some more side stuff to do, other than that it was a fun game. And because of the cartoony colourful graphics it looked better than Vice City.
If there's a sequel or remake they would only need to add the things I said above along with some refinements and better graphics, the rest is pretty much fin...
Man the PS1 flat graphics really stand out in the environments, still a decent improvement here though. Then you get people saying stuff like "remasters don't upgrade the graphics, just resolution" which is obviously not true. I still say there's no clear cut definition of the word remaster, since some developers actually put effort in to do the graphics up.. *cough* unlike MGS.
I really don't understand these games with that kind of turn based combat, it looks like ass. I'll take pool, I'll take golf, I'll take Worms, I'll take Mario Party (cus it's mostly an action game) etc.. but this kinda stuff just reminds me of Pokemon, snooze fest. If i want to fall asleep I'd go and play chess or something.
And 60 isn't even really the gold standard these days. More like silver at best.
Runs quite well with good enough hardware it seems, but even then I still think it should run a bit better than it does given the hardware thrown at it, but it still doesn't matter as I would get bored and the game doesn't interest me.
Indeed. I am going to start lifting weights a few times a week maybe for 15 mins at some point, I heard that alone is a good fat burner, and of course builds some muscle on the arms.. Win/win!
They literally said it's a CPU limitation, an update might help a bit but only so much if it's so demanding on the CPU. Either play it as it is or play on PC is the only option at the moment.

It's overdue. My issue is gonna be if they recycle the same tired stuff. There's quite a few dormant titles they need to bring back, if it's the same Mario Kart with no DKR style single player then it's a no buy from me. There's only so many times you can keep recycling the same game and only upgrade the graphics and that's it.
Graphically it looks quite nice. And I believe this is the first time they're using a new engine rather than a previous one.
Gunplay always felt really good with the KF games. My only complaint with this game and similar ones like L4D is that they become too predictable after a bit, so it gets quite boring. If the game doesn't have AI learning then at least give the enemies more methods of attacking players.

Your comment is accurate, except the viewing distances which should be a bit further away. You need full view of the screen without having to move your eyes too much, and certainly not your head, if you're playing multiplayer games that might need faster reflexes.
This might be a good game but I certainly like the pixel style Shantae games, like the newest one that's being worked on again. I don't agree that it won't be viable in future. There are also AI pixel art generators to convert your images to pixel art style which I'm guessing will get even better soon.
Looks quite a bit sharper on PC but both look pretty good. I like watching these DF comparisons even if the game doesn't interest me, I can't really go bog standard racers.
