I tried one of the GB games before and never saw what the fuss was about, maybe if you find something like chess exciting you might like it.. meh.
Personally I thought Custom Robo Arena was a far better game, the real time combat was actually decent too.
I like how you tried to downplay it with 7.5 scores when AFAIK that's between good and great. Some of the comments here are too funny.
The trailer was pretty cinematic but I don't know how you can judge the game so much by what was shown so far.
Meh they need to go make a new Soldier of Fortune, 2's multiplayer was so damn addictive. Played it for almost 2 years straight until Half Life 2 came out with it's Deathmatch mode and then Garry's Mod.
Lol imagine this guy being so salty about PC he had to come and vent his frustration, he's probably never even owned a decent PC.
Yeah eBay will give you a better return especially if you get those fee promotions every 2 weeks, some just like the no hassle risk with CEX. No chance I'd trade in a rare/expensive game to CEX like my copies of Shantae & the pirate's curse for switch there tho, they'd probably give you like 1/4th of it's value.
AFAIK this Super refresh isn't really all that good, in fact most of the regular 4000 series cards were poor price to performance unless you splashed out on the top end 4090, there were also a couple of deals with vouchers going around some months back making some 4090's only a bit more expensive than a 4080. The new generation of cards are also due later this year or early next year and these refreshes are not looking all that good IMO. Unless of course a good deal turns up.
...
1080p at 30fps is quite rough by today's standards but yeah if you can't afford to pay more for a decent GPU and CPU to keep the frames high then it's better than nothing I guess..
The game that was worth building a whole new PC for in 2004, not many titles I can say that about.
That's a funny response considering I haven't even owned an Xbox since the 360. Whatever helps you sleep better at night.
Lol ok, I'm gonna laugh at what the excuses will be when it's revealed GTA 6 will be targeting 30fps on console.
Heavily rumoured it's still using a Zen 2 chip so I wouldn't count on too much, it will get a small boost and a boost in visuals & FPS for those that aren't CPU bottlenecked but many are expecting games like GTA 6 to be very CPU demanding, like Starfield that has a 30fps lock on Series X.
If you want to avoid those CPU limitations there's no choice but to go PC or put up with the lower frames.
Man the console people seem to think better optimisation can put ps5 leagues ahead of a decent GPU.
DF have already shown a last gen 3080 putting out double the frame rate of ps5 running Alan Wake 2 at console equivalent settings, getting well over 100fps.
In most of the games the timer was pointless anyway because they gave so much time.
I'd rather them make some challenging games for a change anyway, a lot of Nintendo games are far too easy these days so they become boring.
Rumours they want to launch the next Xbox earlier than the next PS (not Pro) as well. Most likely they are feeling an earlier launch might be more successful, kind of like 360 vs PS3.
Cool, no excuses not to have them then
Is that why Digital Foundry has shown a last gen 3080 outputting 2x the frame rate of a PS5 running Alan Wake 2 at equivalent settings?
People always say piracy, you get that with any machine, and for PC it doesn't matter because Steam sells games well, so this is a poor excuse.
Seems the full game will have a good amount of modes, which is good because otherwise fighting games are pretty shallow and only good in short bursts.
Yeah I won't tell you, these guys can tell you because they know nothing too right?
https://youtu.be/YDmpaa3qmR... basically confirms my point. Thanks tho ;)
Same, tried a GB one on an emulator a while ago and didn't like it, about as exciting as a chess game. Best similar'ish game I played with real time combat was called Custom Robo Arena on the DS.
