I was impressed by the moodiness of the demo but the setting didn't blow me away like Yharnam did, for example. Still, definitely one to watch.
It was confirmed in Nintendo's release that they'll be at E3 showing off the Wii U version, but that the NX won't be the focus, which seems baffling to say the least. Surely that would be the time to give us details?
I agree with the article to a point, but really it isn't an issue if you just ignore it for the time being and wait for the complete edition. A little irritating, granted, but hardly a deal-breaker.
Absolutely loving this remake-of-sorts. The humour is spot on and it was such a good idea to return to the series' roots.
In a way I agree with you, but I can't help but feel that this is little better in reality. After all, what Legend of Zelda fans will want to play a (presumably) inferior version of the long-awaited entry? It's a token gesture in my review, so that they can say "Look, we didn't cancel the Wii U version."
Come on Naughty Dog, you could do wonders with the Jak and Daxter series with what you've learned from The Last of Us and Uncharted 4!
The original Homefront had tons of potential, too, but failed to realise it. I think The Revolution will be a lot better, but it's releasing at an abysmal time! Whatever you do, don't get in the path of Uncharted 4!
Online multiplayer is always welcome in my book as long as the single player is the focus in games like Uncharted. I do wish we saw a resurgence of local multiplayer, though. I miss those days.
Goldeneye always does it for me, although it feels incredibly dated. For a niche one, the original Cossacks games on PC. Used to absolutely adore those, and have some fantastic memories of epic battles and grape-shotting hordes of infantry with my cannons :)
They've really hit on something superb and it makes sense for them to keep supporting it. Rocket League is superb fun because it's simple fun on the surface but surprisingly deep.
2016 looks set to be a very good year in recent memory, yes, but the RARE days of 1998 takes it for me.
Leisure Suit Larry! Brilliant suggestion. I would've bought a Ni No Kuni card/board game for sure, too.
Yakuza has done Tokyo very well already. I wouldn't mind seeing a return to Miami - I loved Vice City's colourful setting. It seemed to suit the crazy characters and was fantastic juxtaposed against the rampant violence.
Love the aesthetics and feel of this game. Definitely worth supporting on Steam Greenlight in my opinion.
I used to be a real fan of the Dynasty Warriors-type games, getting Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires for a bit of extra strategy. To be honest I've tired of the formula, however, and this doesn't seem like it'll do much to change that.
To be fair, there isn't an awful lot to go on from the trailer. It works well as a mysterious, tantalising glimpse, but purposefully throws up more questions than answers. That's kind of to be expected, though - it's a teaser, not a gameplay trailer after all.
As much as I loved The Last of Us, I think a sequel would lose something. It was near perfect just as it was - the narrative, the world-building, everything.
Agreed. So many gods for Kratos, or a descendant or some such, to murder brutally! It definitely makes sense to move to different mythologies - I was pretty tired of the Greek mythology in God of War after GOW2 personally.
Agreed. It's amazing to see all of the aspects that Naughty Dog have learned from previous entries, and how the series has evolved with The Last of Us influence. Getting myself ready for a very hard hit come the ending, though...
Agreed. It would of course see devs take risks but publishers won't have it. But the definition between indie and mainstream is so blurred now it shouldn't be an issue. Just don't buy recycled AAA dross.
