Ah, sadly it's not a minigame. It's the whole game.
I was put off a little by the very lackluster start to the series, but good to see that this one has found its feet.
Exactly. If this is actually the controller there will be whiplash complaints from people snapping their heads between controller and main screen!
Well, there would if anybody bought the thing...
Sounds like the perfect game to cheer me up whilst enduring the recurring nightmare that is public transport!
Feels a bit odd to me with the huge install base that the PS4 already has. Are Sony going to shaft current adopters with a swankier system? My concern is that, if true, it may well be needed to get the best out of PSVR, which suddenly ups the cost of PlayStation's virtual reality offering a tad!
Absolutely agree. The virtual reality connoisseurs will scoff at the lower specs and shell out for the Vive or Rift, but the masses curious about VR will be drawn to that price point and the impressive lineup.
I agree with you - the whole thing smacks a little of desperation. Hey, at least they're trying new things though. No point just sitting in the corner as your main competitors do star jumps around you...
*cough* Nintendo *cough*
Very philosophical take on VR! I think I'm still erring on the "wrong" side of history, but only because I think VR needs more time to fully realise its potential.
I'm a little disappointed that the Twilight Princess remake didn't seem to receive the same care and attention as the Wind Waker remake. Nevertheless, it's a fantastic game with I think better characters and bosses than most people remember.
@maxleresistant Spoke too soon!
Is it? I love Western RPGs, but we have seen enough of them. The Legend of Zelda series has always been a bit different, a bit quirky. Take that away and it risks being just another poor man's Skyrim.
Very good point. And thanks.
Appreciate it's something that's definitely on everybody's mind, but with all due respect I disagree. As long as it's not ridiculously high, if Nintendo can demonstrate WHY it's priced as it is (i.e. show off the hardware and what it can do), people could be willing to pay a fair whack for the NX. Doesn't necessarily need to be cheap and dirty, in my opinion.
Agreed. Fairly sure they won't be hiding it away somewhere, at least not from the larger third-party developers. Even Nintendo will learn that lesson from the Wii U....right?
Yeh, you're right. Lots of other releases have had the same issues, so that makes it fine, right? Particularly as there are incentives to pay full whack pre-ordering, only for a game to not be functioning on release. Come on, of course people are crying foul!
The beta always felt like more of a big bombastic showcase for the game rather than a nitty gritty stress testing exercise. Can't say I'm surprised, although feel for you. Always worth holding out at least a few weeks. Always.
Agreed. The Dark Souls games are tough for "modern" games, but pale in comparison to the brutality of the NES and SNES era.
I'd also give an honorary shout to Body Harvest on the N64. Not a well-known game but fantastic, and really tough in later worlds. I never got past the U.S. :(
It's looking brilliantly brutal. One-on-one looks simple enough against the normal grunts, but when Mr. Oh is up against a few goons looks like a whole different ball game. Like the special attack bar for foes as well as your character too.
No, fair question. In my opinion it isn't ok for shooters, and pretty sure I'm not the only one. Look at Titanfall, for example, and the clamour for there to be a campaign in the sequel. The CoD games are all about the multiplayer, but if (when?) they try to release without a campaign at all, there will be a backlash, no doubt.
So many fond memories of fantastic games on the PS2: GTA 3, Timesplitters series, Freedom Fighters, Gran Turismo 3, and so on. It may be dead but my original box is still whirring away :)
