I'm glad these kind of games exist, to be honest. They make some of the most amusing 'Let's Play' videos imaginable.
Spot on, possibly aside from the 'by the time the 3rd or 4th game in the series comes out'. The way WB are taking the Shadow of Mordor series, this could be it's last entry. Such a shame, because the Nemesis system has so much potential.
No doubt that we'll be treated to a stellar campaign. I may be getting carried away, but I'm imagining online gangs, territories, jobs, etc . to rival some MMORPGs. Have a feeling the Wild West is gonna get mighty crowded.
This is the big news we've all been waiting for...
All too often free-to-play just means pay-to-win; can't say I'm interested in any of these titles. If I'm missing out so be it - I like to either pay for great single player experiences or balanced multiplayer games.
Didn't expect to see Watch Dogs and Far Cry 4 on there. Glad Breath of the Wild and Horizon are selling well, though. They definitely deserve to.
Isn't he? What does "same old" even mean? Same as what? Games these days tell more immersive stories than ever before, and feature better combat than ever before. What has Spector done for the industry of late?
Body Harvest for a left field choice. Underrated little gem back in the day.
I played this game to death on the PS2, but for some reason I'm tempted to get it again. Makes no sense. Ah well - what's one more added to the Tower of Backlog?
If you can get your hands on one!
Must admit I expected to see The Witcher 3 at the top. Didn't realise Sun and Moon were that damn successful. Just imagine what the Switch Pokemon RPG will do!
Wolfenstein II got me really excited. Thought the first was an amazing reboot. Loved the look of The Last Night, too, for that cyberpunk goodness. So much to look forward to!
Pretty sure I'll be skipping the Xbox One X One Box X altogether. Don't see the point in a mid-level upgrade, for that price, when there STILL aren't that many truly must-have games on Xbox.
There won't be anything good Metroid-wise. Expect nothing. That's what we need to keep telling ourselves to avoid disappointment. Maybe, just maybe, we'll get a good surprise then.
Agreed. Microsoft really need to nail this to give their rivalry a much-needed adrenaline shot.
Interesting article. I agree that few developers seem to have hit on an optimum control scheme. There has to be a level of standardisation for VR to be a mass success.
I'm not one of these nay sayers when it comes to esports but it just doesn't click with me. I guess I just want to play the games... I'm too lazy to get off my ass and play footy or something. These figures are crazy though.
Quality over quantity for me any day. I like it when there are just enough interesting quests to ensure you visit most of the game world, without resorting to filler content.
Bounty Hunter was such an underrated gem. Hope we see a new Star Wars game of a similar ilk some day.
Oh come on. Don't blame it on the good times... blame it on the boogie.
