Good list. A load of the NES and SNES era games could be classed as "harder", or at least more unforgiving, than the Souls games. Hell, Dark Souls III isn't even the toughest Souls game!
I loved the Ultimate Alliance games. Pretty basic really but being able to play as so many superheroes in a dungeon crawler type game was great fun.
Gazing into my crystal ball, I see myself playing neither this holiday season. Infinite Warfare will be the same old repetitive nonsense with a single-player campaign worth playing when around a tenner. Battlefield 1 will offer something different with its setting, but have a horrible release.
Ultimately, I'd be mad to pick up either at launch. Or I could be completely wrong, because we've only officially seen a trailer for each...
Hang in there! Based on your time of posting it must be under 17 hours now? You're nearly there...
Agree that better exploitation of your Pokemon would be a nice idea. Of course it'll largely be more of the same, though, but hopefully refined. What's wrong with that? Why does everything have to revolutionise itself all of the time?
Feel like Hearthstone is something that I'd enjoy, but always avoided it since I'm concerned it'll take over my life if I'm not careful! So much time and so little to do!
Hope this is true. Solid state mediums have moved on so much since the N64 and worked for the DS and 3DS
In my opinion the WWI setting lends itself perfectly to Battlefield's toing and froing combat.
For me, Visceral's upcoming Star Wars game is the one that I'm most looking forward to, as a result of Amy Hennig's involvement and rumours that it will be 'Uncharted-like'. All I want is a gritty Star Wars sandbox game with a strong narrative and a SINGLE PLAYER FOCUS!
Wouldn't even say Aiden looked cool - the appearances of both are pretty inspiring. Hopefully this new protagonist will have more character, though, and better writing.
I feel that the success of Uncharted 4, on the back of the huge acclaim that The Last of Us received, may actually inspire developers of adventure games. I'm sure publishers will have their eyes trained on Uncharted 4's reception and financial performance, too!
Before you criticise and call others simpletons, it may be wise to learn how to spell "objective".
I don't believe we'll have any choice than to say goodbye. Not because Drake will die, but someone will in the end, and it'll persuade him to give up his life for good. That's my vague prediction anyway!
Good read. Publishers will always be focused on one thing: making money. We think of ourselves as gamers but they see as consumers ripe for exploitation. With developers trying to realise their vision, often grinding against publisher-imposed restrictions, just adds further complexity to the debate.
Funnily enough, although us consumers are in some ways at the bottom of the pecking order, we're also the ones who ultimately have the power. Developers have to make a game...
The reality is, though, that it works. The vocal minority call her out, but then there will be hundreds of guys slobbering over it. Sad, but true. She's trying to circumvent rules, which is by no means morally correct but she's hardly the only one!
The simple fact is that people struggle to control their own expectations, and let the hype get the better of them. I don't get the "having stuff before someone else" mentality, but in fairness spoilers can be a killer.
I wouldn't be surprised if they stopped before then to be honest. Why would Nintendo keep flogging a dead horse, particularly when they've made their intention clear with the NX and the Zelda dual-platform release.
If Mankind Divided can genuinely make the player make difficult decisions, which have long-lasting and tangible consequences throughout, then it'll be a winner in my book. Keeping the combat and aesthetic largely the same is not an issue at all.
I get pangs of nostalgia so sharp it almost hurts whenever someone writes Onimusha. *Ouch* I adored that series.
If we're talking console exclusives, I'd put a vote in for Ni No Kuni. Adored that game - cherished definitely an apt description.
