Beyond Gaming: "You do not need to know. Such questions are trivial... just enjoy footage of this wast world."
Interesting how there's a mix of seminal games like the Zelda games and Deus Ex, and more obscure ones like Winback Covert Ops, which gave us... cover shooting. Grr.
85 upvotes, no downvotes DarkOcelot speaks volumes about how the gaming community views this decision. You're spot on. This makes me really angry. EA saying they needed to "pivot the design" and "deliver an experience that players will want to come back to and enjoy for a long time to come" screams loot boxes, grinding, and weak side quests. This will inevitably destroy the game's strong narrative vision. What a waste. Feel for the Visceral employees.
Interesting to hear the lead of a new studio talking about taking the risk of setting up a studio. Best of luck to them - hope it's good.
Looking forward to this game. The parkour movement looks pretty cool in an isometric perspective.
Still very different markets, despite the Switch's portability. Mobile gaming is all about quick fixes on a device you WILL have on your person at all times, anyway. So it's super convenient. Still, I was pleasantly surprised by the Switch's reception. Soon I may be able to justify getting as a second console :)
The character models look great in the remake, but must say I prefer the beautifully-detailed pixel art for the environments and buildings.
I'm not sure if it was the leftover Chinese I had for breakfast, but I feel a little queasy...
Bummer. Who could've foreseen launch day problems?
I was going to wait for Odyssey but on second viewing it looks a bit bland. I've probably been spoiled by Breath of the Wild, though.
And Biomutant is going to be a masterpiece, apparently, so it's definitely a big announcement.
Looked bat sh*t insane to me. In a good way, though. Declaring that your game will be a masterpiece is asking for trouble, though.
Come on, behave. That's just a silly thing to say.
That's a real shame. So hard to review a game when it's otherwise excellent, but suffers from a game-breaking bug. Good to know, though. I'll avoid until fixed.
I don't get Microsoft at the moment. It feels like it's sliding inexorably towards an abyss with the Xbox brand, what with the dire lack of killer exclusives, and yet it seems content to just grease its buttocks and yell "wheee" in the face of oblivion.
Can't say I've ever ever really thought of MK as a spinoff, but guess it is of sorts. Portal immediately jumps to mind as the standout for me.
"It really ISN'T worth it." "Oh, come on, yes it IS." "No, it's not. It's too expensive and the games are often rubbish." "It's not that much per month, there have been some indie gems included, and..." Continue ad infinitum. Same old arguments.
Shovel Knight was awesome, and I loved Guacamelee, but nothing has topped Rayman Legends for me this decade. Amazingly good fun with mates.
Ratchet and Clank are definitely my favourite duo in gaming. They're written so well, and play off each other perfectly. Banjo-Kazooie definitely up there, too.
What about Yooka-Laylee? Only kidding.
Thanks for your valuable insight.
