Exactly.
Kinect sets the XB1 apart from the PS4. It gives it a unique identity. I'm all for the Kinect. Without it, both consoles are pretty much the same. Kinect is an integral part of the console and if it's not included in the box they might as well not bother at all because developers won't take advantage of it and every feature has to be designed with the knowledge that some players won't be able to use it.
This is a must-own game.

Previous generation sales mean nothing? Absolute nonsense. The PlayStation brand has a very strong legacy and the PlayStation name alone will sell millions upon millions of consoles. The PS2 absolutely dominated the competition last gen which gave the PS3 the biggest advantage or "head start" it could possibly have. The PS3 could have performed just as well as the PS2 (or better) if not for Sony's arrogance and many mistakes in the first few year...
So tying their competitor who outsold them 6 to 1 the previous gen is a loss? Very strange logic. All that happened this gen was the Xbox brand gained a ton of ground, while the PlayStation brand lost a ton of market share. Microsoft was the complete underdog but in these 7 years, the name Xbox has become just as synonymous with gaming as PlayStation. You would be foolish to believe this gen has been anything but a massive success for Microsoft's gaming division.
To be fair, we were jumping from SD to HD in the last console transition, so there were much more noticeable differences.

Or the PS3 COD fans are the ones pre-ordering the PS4 version. COD is by far the most popular game on PlayStation consoles as well.
Although GTA IV is my favorite of the series, I did prefer the VC and SA soundtracks. But those games took place in the past and were capturing an era. The soundtracks brought a lot of nostalgia. IV and V are set in the present so it's a bit different. Though V is supposed to have the largest and most diverse soundtrack yet.

Rockstar are the kings of this gen. GTA IV is my favorite game of this gen, followed by RDR. L.A. Noire and Max Payne 3 are also way up there on my list. Naughty Dog would be my second favorite developer, but they just can't compete with the sheer quality and detail in Rockstar's releases. Also, I'm a sucker for open world games.
Agreed, it is the highest rated racing series of this gen. Wonder if it can keep that title next gen!

I don't understand why anyone would want the competing console to fail... When just one console has all the market share like in the PS2 era, look at the arrogance you get: $599 PS3! Can't afford it? Get a second job! If any of these consoles fail, your console of choice or not, it is bad for gamers in the long run.
I agree. The car handling in GTA IV was very dynamic and engaging. Rockstar clearly put a lot of effort into perfecting it. Driving feels like an afterthought in other open world games like Saints Row or Sleeping Dogs with their poor handling models and lack of suspension or any sense of realism and weight to the cars.
