Gran Turismo is a good long-term seller, but it does not smash sales records every time like Halo. Halo 4 sold over 3 million copies in its first 24 hours, becoming the fastest-selling Halo game to date. GT5 came nowhere even close to that.
Sony simply has no game that breaks opening day records and creates such a frenzy in the gaming world like a Halo release does. GT5 still sold an incredible 10 million units, but it can't match Halo 3's 12 million. Not to mention, ...
What a refreshing read! If I see one more deeply misinformed article about games causing violence and GTA "awarding players points for killing cops" I am going to lose it.
50 square miles sounds a bit high for GTA V, but nevertheless, the entire world is handcrafted. Every storefront is unique, every building is meticulously designed, the detail is off the charts even down to the cracks in the sidewalk and the graffiti covering the walls. I dare say there will be more unique detail in one block of GTA V's Los Santos than in the entirety of JC2's gigantic island map. That was one big copy-and-paste job.
Metacritic is broken because you don't agree with GTA IV's metascore? That's funny, because I completely agree with GTA IV's metascore and it is still my favorite game of this gen (and better than San Andreas). See, these are called opinions. A review shows you the reviewer's opinion on the game. Metacritic takes everyone's opinions, and averages them into one score. GTA IV is clearly loved by critics and that is why it sits above everyone else with a 98.
I don't even care about next gen. GTA V is all that's on my mind. The PS4 and XB1 can wait 'til next year!
I have used GameFly for over four years and I have never been "double-charged" or faced any hidden fees. I don't know how I would support my gaming habits without it. I can play every new release without having to plunk down $60 every time. It would take 3 months of the 2-game plan to equal the price of one brand new retail game. GameFly saves me hundreds of dollars!
They have already released two gameplay videos, one for single player and one for multiplayer. Even that was unprecedented since they never released any gameplay footage for GTA IV before release.
I love how they now have every light source in the world draw in from the distance. It really makes the world feel more real when you can be out in the dark wilderness and see civilization out far in the distance. No disappearing lights as you get farther away. It really looks amazing in that nighttime screen of Los Santos where you can see every single street light.
12 million on PC, 8 million on Xbox 360, 10 million on mobile platforms; Minecraft is a phenomenon!
Across all the screens and trailers, just about every part of the map has in fact been seen. This fan made map is very accurate and if you look at the achievement image for exploring the whole map, you will see the outline of the world is identical to the fan map.
There may be many roads missing on this map, but the general layout of the land, the size of the city and countryside should be close to 100% accurate.
You can see the entire 1000+ page mapping thre...
Pretty poor comparison, Skips. Only one full Gran Turismo game has released to-date on the PS3. Now how many Halo games have released on the 360? Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Reach, Halo 4...I won't count Halo Wars considering it's an RTS game. ODST has sold over 6 million as a glorified expansion. Halo 3 near 12 million as the crown jewel of the franchise, Halo: Reach over 10 million when you include digital sales. And Halo 4 headed toward 9 million already as the fastest-selling Halo...

Exactly! Which is why it is beyond me why anyone would expect the PSEye to come anywhere close to the features and performance of Kinect 2.
Funny enough, despite being old, AC2 is a FAR superior game.
If Microsoft started a separate subscription service just for free games like PS+ currently operates, then I'm sure they would offer more and bigger games. But these free games are on top of what you are already getting for your Gold subscription. Not to mention you keep them forever, even if you cancel. It would be unreasonable to expect the same tier of games for this promotion.
You get much more at the same price? I highly doubt anyone is paying for Xbox LIVE Gold for the 2 free games per month. Whereas just about everyone paying for PS+ is paying specifically for those free games. On the PS4 when online play is part of PS+, then there will be a comparison to make.
As for my experience with PS+, I had it for 3 months last year when they had a discount on it. I downloaded a few games, but most were ones I had already played and I hardly ended up play...
Again, you pay for PS+ specifically for those games. You pay for Xbox LIVE Gold mainly for the online service. The free games are just a bonus. And you get to keep these games even if you cancel your subscription.
Why would you expect it to be like the PS+ games? 360 owners are not paying an additional subscription for free games. This just comes with the subscription we already pay for the Xbox LIVE Gold service. You pay for PS+ almost exclusively to get the free games. Not to mention, the Free With Gold games are truly free. You keep them even if you cancel your Xbox LIVE subscription.
Long comment incoming:
The placement of the left analog stick was never my problem with the PS3 controller. That's just something I had to get used to when swapping back and forth between my 360 and PS3. But there were some glaring design flaws on the DS3 that are unforgiveable, particularly the atrocious triggers. They are so bad that many PS3 titles use R1 by default for shooting, and Gran Turismo by default uses the pressure-sensitive face buttons for accelerating. Tha...
I hope GTA takes back the crown of sales king from Call of Duty.
As Rockstar themselves have stated, there is no lead platform. Both versions were developed simultaneously from the ground up:

And I don't understand why this has to turn into a PS3 vs 360 war either. The Xbox 360 version is what Rockstar used for the recent hands-on previews. This isn't comparing performance between t...
