Those time-based ones are called "Challenges" and they do not award gamerscore. They can be shared across multiple games and be earned by the whole community rather than just by a single person.
I don't know what you're complaining about. The new achievement system sounds great to me. Achievements can now unlock extra game content. Developers will also be able to add them at any time for free and not just through DLC. The new achievement stat tracking looks ...

Stop spreading misinformation. There is no lead platform, as Rockstar themselves have stated. Both versions were developed simultaneously, no ports:

I haven't gotten my fill of full frontal male video game nudity since The Lost and Damned. I'm counting on you, Rockstar!
Indeed, I don't remember seeing that content descriptor before.
The multiplayer is called "Grand Theft Auto Online" and it is going to be revealed this month. Rockstar have not said much, but it's supposed to be "very different" from GTA IV. Considering they are calling it "GTA Online" instead of just "GTA V multiplayer" means it must be pretty ambitious.
Anyone who is interested in the map of GTA V should really check out this topic on GTAForums:
http://www.gtaforums.com/in...
They have some crazy dedicated members there that pick apart every last screenshot and trailer frame trying to piece together an actual map. The topic has reached almost 900 pages now and it's really something to behold.
No way would they announce a next gen version before the current gen version releases and hurt sales.
Right. Who buys a console because of its physical appearance?
That's quite a milestone. Congratulations to Nintendo! Hopefully they have more luck in the future with the Wii U. I would hate to see Nintendo go the way of Sega and leave the hardware business.
Take a look at Felipe's Twitter account:

This supposed tweet is nowhere to be found. The site claims he tweeted "This week is #online" and then deleted it. Sounds fake to me. He also tweeted that same day about "faking tweets" although I'm not sure in what context.
Still, we could get multiplayer info this week, considering...
Well deserved! GTA IV remains my personal favorite game of this gen, as well as the most critically acclaimed game of the last decade with a 98 on Metacritic. And on top of that, it's still the 5th most active game on Xbox LIVE over five years after its release. What an accomplishment.
Whatever it will do, it will be less than the Kinect. Even putting hardware differences aside, considering these are very different devices, the mere fact that the camera will not be included with every PS4 unit means that most developers will not take advantage of it. They may as well drop support entirely if they are not going to bundle it with every console. At least have a $449 bundle that comes with the camera.
Go watch the gameplay trailer to see the game in-motion on current gen consoles. It may not look as polished as some of the screenshots, but the game looks beautiful in motion with all the detail and the wonderful animations.
@Maria
Ah yes, the 360's one-year handicap. But you fail to realize that the PS3 had by FAR the biggest handicap of all; the PlayStation brand name. A 1-year headstart, cheaper price, and any other advantages were not enough to overcome the power of that brand. But what happened was Xbox went from being outsold 6 to 1 by that brand last gen, to a virtual tie this gen. And now, for the first time, the Xbox brand is just as strong as PlayStation going into a new gen. For th...
It's about time! I don't care about DLC for most games, but I'll buy any add-ons to BioShock Infinite because the game was great.
Michael's special ability is in fact bullet time! It was revealed back in May during the onslaught of previews.
Cool. I was going to wait to play this game until later in the year, but I think I'm going to play it right at launch because I know I could never enjoy it after playing GTA V.
GTA IV still holding strong at #5! Incredible for a 5-year old game. I guess people are getting back into GTA mode for V's upcoming release.
I'm envisioning a 2016 XB1/PS4 release!
