For me, the most exciting announcement at the PS4 event was DLC for a PS3 game... Definitely disappointed. Need to stop hyping up these events and expecting megaton reveals.
I'm more excited about this than the new consoles. That speaks volumes!
This is the feature I'm most excited about when it comes to the new UI.
That's pretty bad if games are only its second function but it has a better launch lineup than its direct competitor who is apparently only about the games.
Does this mean I can use my Amazon credit towards PSN purchases? That would be very nice.
So excited for this game. Only 11 days left! :)
Really disappointing. The Xbox 360's UI is one of the main reasons I chose to buy all multiplatform titles on that console. It looks like Xbox is once again going to have the faster, simpler, and more user friendly experience all around. I wish Sony would step up their game when it comes to the interface I'm going to see every time I turn on the console, and going to have to navigate through for all my gaming and entertainment needs. What a shame.
I don't know how I feel about this list... Some of my favorite games of this gen are GTA IV & V, Red Dead Redemption, Super Mario Galaxy, Gears of War 1 & 3, The Last of Us, Super Meat Boy, Far Cry 3 and The Walking Dead.
This is precisely why Kinect is being included with every console - so everyone has the chance to use it. And I imagine after experiencing how intuitive navigating the dashboard is with Kinect, few will want to put the camera away.
I use Bing to accumulate credits for free Xbox Live gift cards, but that's about it.
If tripling your market share, establishing your brand as a household name, and tying your biggest competitor in sales who had outsold you 6 to 1 the previous gen is "losing", then Microsoft lost pretty damn good.
If you have such a serious problem with batteries, then grab a USB cable and plug the Xbox One controller into the console. Voila! You never need batteries again! The XB1 controller instantly becomes a wired controller when you plug it in with a USB cable.
Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome, Titanfall, Quantum Break, Project Spark, Killer Instinct, D4, Fable Legends, Dead Rising 3, Below, Crimson Dragon, Zoo Tycoon, Sunset Overdrive, Halo 5... Bring on the games, I'm ready to play!
I can definitely see this being the case with the PS4 in the same way the Xbox One will be competing with the 360. The customer goes to the store and sees this cheaper console with a huge library of games already available. What is going to drive them to buy the more expensive product?
In the case of the Xbox One, I can see them being driven by the Kinect functionality and all the entertainment features. I'm not sure about the PS4. On the games side, both are lacking at l...
They block out the button prompts so the footage can be used universally for any platform the game is releasing on. Microsoft can use it. Sony can use it. It can be used to represent the PC version. They're not going to waste time making separate videos for each version. This footage was clearly captured from the PS4, but Ubisoft made a mistake and did not remove the button prompts in those few frames.
I'd imagine this is how all publishers do it. You would never even...
I believe it's pretty obvious that this would be done so there can be one video to be used by all platforms to showcase gameplay. Why would they need to make multiple videos for each platform when all versions are going to look pretty much the same? It's just that, in this instance, Ubisoft did not properly edit the video to remove the button prompts.
Why are we always jumping to these conspiracy theories lately? Just use logic and common sense.
What are you talking about? It is a promotional video supplied directly from Ubisoft to Microsoft. It's then posted by whoever is in charge of the YouTube channel. Too blind and old to see what? A millisecond of footage where a PS button prompt appears? How else would anyone know what version of the game the footage is from? And how would it be anyone but Ubisoft's job to notice these things on the videos they are providing to Sony/MS/Nintendo?
It's pretty simple. They're running out of things to bash the Xbox One for. With all the restrictive policies and "Kinect is spying on you" conspiracies far in the past, what's left? That's when you start blow things out of proportion; battery packs, resolution, a promotional video for a multiplatform game? Seems a bit desperate to me.
If someone is worried about that, then they don't have to buy the console. Neither console is out yet. At this point, it's not like people are going about saying anything to defend their purchase. You can cancel your preorder at any time. There's nothing to defend.
Isn't this refreshing after all the bitterness and constant mudslinging from both sides? If only every interaction between Xbox and PlayStation fans could be this civil and pleasant.
