the PS3 is an absolute headache for multi-platform engines. Its exclusive titles that have engines specific to every piece of damn tech in that machine look truly magnificent, but it is not the greatest machine for third parties.
There's no opinion in that. The generation is almost over and the story hasn't changed in over 5 years. Just like BF3 360 looks better than the PS3 version. Don't believe me, play both and come back and then respond.
Ever...
For one, it's not even a proper keyboard. Other than that, if you want to use a keyboard, play on PC; it basically turns your console into a poor man's PC.
I really can't imagine a single person that should run out and buy this thing.
I'm sorry if I seem like I'm trolling, but truthfully the very existence of this thing upsets me. I'll get over it within the next 10 minutes, but I had to say it.
and this looks to be an impossibly better experience. I really hope this game gets a serious goty nod, if not win. Every genre needs its poster boy, and Batman is doing for superhero games what's never been done before. It breaks new ground, and even if there are some really solid candidates, I think it deserves it for this alone.
they're hyping it because there appears to be a good chance it will be receiving a 10 from them.
Arica Harbour.
But I have both a 360 and a PS3, and the 360 version seems to run a fair amount smoother than what I've been playing the last two days on PS3. I had it preordered for PS3, but I'll be switching it tomorrow.
Just to be clear, you really can't go wrong with either, but for me the difference in smoothness was enough to switch it over (despite some pretty nice bloom effects on PS3). DICE has really done a phenomenal job here (apart from the damn bugs) with all the pla...
While I agree, I would have scored it differently. Technically, each title is about a 10/10 (amongst the highest ever seen) on their respective platforms. I'd say...
PC: 10/10*
PS3: 10/10
360: 10/10
*Much higher benchmark. A true graphical marvel.
I can't tell if your sarcastic or not. Dlacy13g was just trolling pixel-counting fanboys.
For those looking for an in depth RPG it kind of sucks, but BioWare always intended for it to be a heavily action based game. In their eyes, they're getting closer to their original vision. As long as there's a little bit of RPG stuff I'm good.
I agree with jeseth on this one. As much as I've ragged on Call of Duty for its continual baby steps and lack of innovation in the past, this argument could go both ways. DICE would like to minimize the amount of BF instalments, but I imagine EA can really do whatever they want with that or MoH. I hope they don't force them out though.
At some point, Call of Duty will have to step it up. Now that it has viable competition it will need to adapt, and that's the beau...
It's really in Nintendo's and Sony's hands. If the two of them stay firm on free online play into the next generation, Microsoft will have NO choice but to offer the online gaming portion of XBL for free.
If either Nintendo or Sony decides that they think they can get away with charging for online play, the remaining one will also have to jump on board.
In either case, the odd man out will have to join the other two.
As it stands ...
and nobody cares because it plays great. that's the only point I'm trying to make. This website is full of hypocrites. AAA has to do with cost, as well, not anything else.
It's probably a good thing. They really like the over-the-top killstreaks, but the problem they had was that nobody could take the damn things down.
This way, a support package guy can easily take out a ridiculous killstreak because he doesn't need to stay alive to earn it. This goes both ways, of course, but at least offensive and defensive rewards will always go toe-to-toe.
Everyone who was a CoD fan thinking that they'll just jump ship to BF3 is RIDICULOUS. The gameplay style is completely different. I happen to like both styles equally and will be getting both. BF3 is a great looking game, and still manages to look pretty darn good on consoles, but the number of people disappointed at how MW3 "looks" is incredible, and you are all delirious. We all knew it was going to be a tiny bump. So, when did everyone become a graphics whore? What if the gam...
I know you shouldn't HAVE to, but itsralf is right. With all the hate surrounding it, I'm sure this will be at the top of the priority list. Then again it'll probably have super lame online ties or something so it destroys your computer if you try and play it online minus origin install directory.
I don't know how well their balance changes are going to work. I agree with nerfing the class of course, but now with weapon sway, breath holding, lens flare, and two hit body shots on top of that (yes, I realize the snipers were always two hit body shots) it's seeming like a super nerf. I'm not saying that all these changes dictate the usefulness of the class, but let's just hope these changes are well implemented without completely making the class useless. The only thing wo...
They've already pretty much maxed it out. It's never possible to literally max something out as code can always be optimized more, so you could see it inch along forever potentially. Games like Uncharted 3 and Rage are definitely maxing out what the console can do first/third party-wise respectively.
lol
and he's even said so on record. As a matter of fact I'm pretty sure he's stated that he really likes the battlefield series. I don't see why everyone is going nuts over this.
When developers make games for Mac and PC, they don't say "let's split the player base." Console manufacturers are a bit different when it comes to what they allow on their network. I hate to say it, but it is pretty much all Microsoft's fault right now. They have a paid service and they will protect it until they can't any longer. I really don't blame them, but eventually they will have to face facts and enhance their network with other perks besides multiplaye...
